Ya, actually this movie was kinda an eye-opener that shows the hardships these deprived kids face. I have watched this movie, in the ending, they've given its website also to support the cause.
Oh my gracious.., he has a heart of gold. He don't even know the word "anger" even when scolded by the male teacher or his uncle. Love this movie, great storyline, gr8 recapped
I personally watched this when I was kid ... And i truly recommend everyone to watch this because this is a cinematic master piece in acting perspective too ,,, it's available on Disney plus hotstar or probably also available on RU-vid too
Made me shed a tear because one time in Kindergarten,i had accidentally dropped my lunch on the floor, and then decide to just skip lunch all together but suddenly other kids some beside my seat and infront decide to share their lunch with me.
No matter how sad is his life, The kid managed to stay happy with his friends without letting anyone know about how miserable his life is. That is inspirational.
I cried at the part where he still shared his food, the only food he got, to his friends and everyone else, even if it's the only thing left for him. Maybe it's because he wants to belong and be accepted or maybe because he hasn't had anyone to share it with. But it's just so heartbreaking to imagine a child left with this feeling of wanting to be accepted and wanting to belong because he has never felt love by the people around him. Kudos to the friends who were there for him and to share food with him. I love that part.
There are those that have the least, yet wants to share what they have with others, because they know what it means to have very little. Not every person has a good heart but there are many out there.
@@maezztro2178 abbe chutye! It’s there on Wikipedia. Plus most Hindi film watchers know this because when this film was released, it had a lot of fanfare just because it was Amol Gupte and his son in the same film.
OMG i know that this is just a movie but I'm literally crying because i know that there's sweet little innocent children with heart's of gold like this child that are being abused in real life like this😭😭😭😭😭😭
@@tahersplatinumgaming5624 yes. Several psychology students began a research on prevalence of learning disabilities among school children in various parts of India. The contents of this movie is one of the by products of that research.
The fact that this Film didn't got a Happy Ending like the kid getting rich and all is so accurate, Like he stays at his own age and still his life will still be the same.. I love it absolutely. It shows how most people gets dissapointed at this type of ending or sort of anything, shows it's the truth. Also how my life will still be the same until 80 years.. or more i guess. I indeed admire this film with pure heart, It's just great.
For most people, life becomes a constant as you just said but it's not like you can try to change it. I'm 17 so I haven't experienced much life like you may have. But my only life goal is to not let it be constant 🙂
@@xyan819 Pretty sure the school principal is funding his education. Thats why the principal is the only one is school who knows that he is an orphan and where he lives
We didn't know a beautiful film like this exist. The boy shares a message to the society. Any hardship in life can be handled easily. Thanks for sharing ❤️
When I went to school my friend didn't get lunch money from his dad so I bought him lunch every day for like 4 years. My parents were well off so I asked for more lunch money to buy snacks to help me focus better is what I told them. I just bought my friend lunch with the extra.
His friends are so nice to him. Also when the teachers yell at him, they should just tell him to bring his own lunch. I never saw such a greedy teacher.
This story made me cry. I realized how much you have in life if you have 2 parents that love you, a safe place to sleep and are loved by your mom. May God bless today, every child that does not have those things today. May I cross their path and be able to fill the need for them in Jesus name. I want friends like this boy had. I've had teachers and bosses like this most of my adult life.
If anyone has a doubt that how does he have money to go to school but not for food, well some schools are government based and free of cost I'm writing under this comment because not many people will able to see this if I wrote it personally
This really makes you think about what we as humans take for granted something as simple as food can be so difficult to come by and it's shocking and sad.
I cried so hard while watching this movie and again while watching this video. The kid has done an exceptional job so does the "khadoos" who is the director and the real life father of Stanley. A must watch movie, just like Tare Zameen Par.
I saw this movie in a theatre and for me, it remains one of my all time favourites for the message it conveys! Stanley ka Dabba is an under-rated classic. My only disappointment was the ending. I mean, in an ideal world, that uncle would be arrested and Akram will be the new owner, with Stanley being relieved of his child labour, yet continuing to study in the school with stories of his mother preparing the grand dabba! I know, that is a lot of wishful thinking! An interesting side note: That Khadus (the meaning of that Hindi word is 'someone who is mean') Hindi teacher is actually the director of the movie - Amol Gupte. The protagonist kid Stanley is his son in real life - Partho. Amol Gupte was also involved as the Screenwriter of (as also the brain behind) another children's classic that was released before Stanley ka Dabba called 'Taare Zameen Par' which influenced the Indians to start talking about, and take seriously, the issue of dyslexia.
This is so great that you gave this explanation I was getting so mad at the Director lol. Glad to see he is a social activist and aims to build better morals in the viewer.
@@manasmamtora5099 I say he represents government or people in power .Some people in power like other 's to feel weak and etc . It makes them feel more powerful but they are not nice Christian or religious people and yes some are atheist also.
As someone who loves to cook for people this makes me really sad. I've been in situations where I was so hungry but there was no food I could make so I just looked at everyone else lunches and they treated me weird when my eyes wandered to their food trays. I learned to cook so I wouldn't be in that position again and I now cook for others so this story hits me hard
I personally watched this when I was kid ... And i truly recommend everyone to watch this because this is a cinematic master piece in acting perspective too ,,, it's available on Disney plus hotstar or probably available on RU-vid too
aw man if you were in my class i would share you my lunch :( i hardly eat lunch or not eat at all anymore since I'm fat and sometimes being fatshamed but since quarantine i started eating again
@@anshikdarsan3726 are you dumb? What is this excessive jingoism everywhere? Why are you guys so cringe? Koi esa cringiapa nhi karta jitna humare log karte hain bat bat me
Poor Stanley: •Can't afford food. •Drink water and no food. •He eats foods from his friends. •He got embarrassed by his teacher just because he always doesn't bring his lunchbox. *And then you knew he was an orphan* *so he live with his abusive uncle and abusing him several times.*
This made me cry, a selfless child who life humbled at such a tender age left alone in a cruel world with no one to protect him💔. He hides his pain behind his humor and because he knows how cruel life is he tries to make everyone around him happy🥺. Sad part about it is that there are actually children out there living this way 😓, it really breaks my heart to know that people treat those innocent souls like that and even worst. Lord plz protect those babies out there who are being abused in anyway shape or form🙏🏽😓
The worst part is that he is made a labourer by his uncle, who's probably his legal guardian too! Even if someone wants to help, the abuser can say that he's the legal guardian
The fact that he created stories of his mother packing a dabba for him, even after brining his own food packed by Akram shows his deteriorating mental health. Children are gifts of god. They must be taken care of. 😔
His mental health is not deteriorating. It's just a lie so he doesn't feel left out with the other kids. I'm sure he's grateful for Akram, he's telling white lies to fit in like children do.
Interesting fact: Stanley is khadoos son in real life and Khadoos is the director of this film :)) and a request @Fox Recaps pls do a video about a movie named 'Taare Zameen Par'. Its a true masterpiece of bollywood. It will leave you in tears.
Taare zameen par is one of greatest movie I've ever watch. It's full of deep meaning and also a lot of emotion. And yes I've watched that 3 times and it still got me ugly crying knowing that "children" in that movie are the true survival. That would be great if fox recap could do the recap of taree zameen par.
He played it well, even though he was acting in the movie, it would take a moment for me to realise that he is an actor and not the same person shown in the film
Very touching story with lessons... The movie made me cry and miss my late mom so much and think of how she used to come to school during lunch time to bring food for me and my 2 sisters; especially on days where we left home without proper breakfast or lunch money😭
The best part of the movie is that the actor who played the role of "Khadus" the hindi teacher was actually the director and writer of the movie and the child actor (Stanley) is his son in real life..
It's a heart touching story. Tears flowing from my eyes, I prayed to GOD to be compassionate! How many children go thru this in real life. I like his nature, smiling, never give up - instead of self pity, brooding over the ñegative situation - he makes up stories, should we call lies? No! He saves his dignity - positive explanations n action I.e practicing dance steps behind the background, sharing his food, his attitude towards all, even those who hurt him. Well appreciated the love n concern of some classmates with no expectation. May God blessTeachers like Rosy n the Choreographer etc. Oh God we need many like them! We learn to love, take time to understand the situations under which many innocent, helpless n lonely r misunderstoodn hard pressed. From this story let us learn to love, be patient to know n reach out, help someone from helpless, hopeless n loneliness to rise high to achieve their goal. When you do your best God does the rest (remaining) God's "rest" has no limits, He wants us to give what we can, sow the seed, He will bless n multiply the fruits!!!
I can relate where i have to tell everyone at the office that I go home every holiday just like they are doing since I am very close to my family. But they arent aware that its hard to make up stories that I never had because I am gay and kicked out at the very young age. I have to buy foods for the christmas and newyear for the family and upload photo so everyone will believe me, but its always me and gave away the food to the homeless. Until one day I am confused with the reality during pandemic and find myself alone again and diagnosed with borderline disorder. Im glad that I can now accept the fact that people will still love me even if I dont have a good story to tell. My officemate and friends are now my family ❤️
That was the saddest ending i've ever seen... I mean expected something like, the teacher adopting him or sum.. But he just continues to be abused and lying about his parents existence
Life is unfair and sad if you are born in India and are an orphan. It is heaven if you are rich and good looking. Everything is magnified times 10 here.
I think this movie represents gluttony and temperance, one of the seven deadly sins and seven heavenly virtues. I love it from the beginning to the end of the recap-
Be selfish because everyone else will. If they show selflessness, you can show it too. This strategy is kinda like, "Eye for an Eye" but more like "You give me your eye I give you mine or You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours"
I have watched this movie multiple times and it always makes me cry.. As I too didn't get lunchbox cuz my mom was too lazy to cook.. So I would also drink water when I got hungry.. But the thing was I didn't have friends either
Man that little boy has a big heart. It's not the happy ending i was expecting but really makes you want to help ppl anytime you can because you never know what they are goin thru
It would be additional karma for him if at least one of the students or other teachers applied laxatives to his food and then gave it all to that teacher
