Agreed. He had to deal with people asking him questions that they would not be as rude to ask others. Awe.... Hes had more class and maturity. I don’t like the alternate sexuality, but I still love the person. I feel love and respect for George.
They were not rude and tactless, then.. Hopefully George educated many people at home watching about gay people. Some had never known a gay person in their lives and had a set view. Hopefully George could help them to see different via this?
How intelligent and brilliant Boy George is! Can I please add that i'm in love with his personality? His mind...The way he talks, the fact he's gay...And i'm so completely straight and a married woman...I just adore him....💖💖💖
EXACTLY! I have admired his confidence in being himself since I was 4 years old, I found him incredibly brave at such a young age because of that "Lil girls get dolls" shit they shoveled down our throats back in the 80s, for Boy George to buck the norm and be himself was an act of protest to me.
What the hell was wrong with Roger Ailes? Love how Boy got shade in at the end when saying parents should love their kids if they are gay or "fat and ugly." 😂😂😂🤣
I think this is a brilliant interview......for both sides......two people talking naturally. I get your point, but if we don’t ask questions we don’t ever learn anything. Things are too PC now.
Boy is so sophisticated and graceful. Tactful. Unlike the interviewer. Ok Boy call me I will hook You up lol when you are ready for an experience with a woman. 🍷🍷
@@deanellison9206 I so agree with you !!! Without Ques ( no matter how cringe worthy) we wouldn't have gotten those brilliant Answers !!! He like Madonna Opened up peoples minds and it was through interviews like these Middle America (& Middle world ) got to stretch their minds open !!! Well said @Dean !!!👏👏👏
Now George has the best one-liner ever. " I'm more of a man that you'll ever be, and more of a woman than you will ever have". Simply brilliant, cool response. Just fact folks. ;-) ;-) ;-)
I’m amazed by how intelligent this person is and I never get tired of watching his interviews. Quite articulate and patient. An example of perfection 💖
They are legit questions to be asked. Some are very curious, it doesn't mean there is something deep and hidden inside them. The constant response that if you question too much or show hostility towards something that it means you are repressed is ridiculous and just used to shame people into silence and conformity
@@1980Triumph LOL!! The question about 'did your parents do anything wrong to make you gay' is really quite ignorant, as is "do you like being gay?" What an idiot Ailes is.
It's impossible not to fall in love with this genius and absolutely endearing beautiful personality, George. He is a real phenomenon of the whole human history! Global treasure!!! He really deserves tons of love!!!
This interviewer is so tactless and obsessed with Gay Gay Gay. George is doing an excellent job of not laughing at his ignorance, but handles it with grace. Love him so much. 💕
Every other word is his line of questioning is "gay, gay, gay". Someone w that much gay on their mind obviously has some sexual hangups/insecurity curiosity perhaps?
Boy George so sweet and real, very smart and honest. The interview went only about his sexuality when he was promoting a new record new music which is the important part in the music industry Love You George ✨💫♥️♥️
Boy george is a very open marriage ended and very calm. Nt even once h shows any sign of anger on his face expression. He truly wanted to.pour everything out and being honest Buddhism made bg much better person.he looks calm and more confident. Am happy to see that he was free of drugs and sound very healthy. Zita Carolina.
This was hard to watch. Roger Ailes asking some horrible questions. George was great..we have made progress since 1995 and this questions would not be asked today.
I didn't find it hard to watch. The interviewer was trying to know George. And by knowing someone, sometimes you have to ask odd questions. Not the type that were already asked. Although, George was right it was always focus on sexuality. George always handled himself well anyways. Otherwise how would you get that quote out of him if you don't ask hard questions - "Im more of a man than you'll ever be, I'm more than a woman than you'll ever get." BooM.
G O’Dowd (G.O’D) is like a many faceted, naturally formed crystal. And learned within a complex family of 6, how to gain love, affection, even through negative attention of drug abuse and recovery. Not so different to a lot of people. Also, extremely intelligent, talented with the most beautiful eyes ever. Tall, glam, chic, successful, rich, humble, proud, wise, generous and normal human being/star. So much to love and cherish. So many exquisite interviews to enjoy throughout his career. Even on a recent British breakfast show he was so interesting in his maturity and everyday concerns of health and well-being. Has this curious and clever soul found a partner he can love? I’ll have to do a little research. The Voice gigs were entertaining and there must be updates regarding his happiness somewhere. This interview was articulate on G.O’D’s side. ❤️
This interviewer instinctively rubs me so wrong that I had to wiki him. Aah, check this out: “ Roger Eugene Ailes (May 15, 1940 - May 18, 2017) was an American television executive and media consultant. He was the chairman and CEO of Fox News, Fox Television Stations and 20th Television, from which he resigned in July 2016 after allegations of sexual harassment were made by 23 women. “
Perfect thank you for this Info @Manx the interviewer was basically another Harvey Weinstein!!! ( he is clearly ignorant about alternate sexuality and his demeanor is a lot like Rush Limbaugh) thank Gay God for Boy George so articulate and so enlightened!!! Love you #BOY !!!!
Ahh so that’s why he was so stupid. Fox News corporate big wig who was yet another gross example of a man. I loved the way George handled him. After being asked if he’d ever had sex with a woman, Boy George said, “No,,,,have you??” Lolz
George you are a very wise man you are very straight forward in your beliefs ,you are a hard working man with a lot of wittyness about you I really enjoy listening to you talk about the things that peak your interest. You are definitely easy on the eyes. Love You George.
Boy George was way ahead of his time. Very honest and progressive. He probably looks around now and laughs as everyone makes such a big deal of changing their pronouns and genders.
Love this interview. I always liked George. From the first moment I saw him on TOPS with Karma Kameleon. It was love at first sight with George and Marilyn as pop stars. Love both of them. The night I first set eyes on George I thought it was Hayzi Fantayzee to begin with. Cos' he was dressed in a way that kinda looked like them. And his hair was like theirs. It was my first glance of him. TOPS was on and I was kind of watching on the show. Loved that song. Loved the following singles. Became a fan. Bought the first LP, then the following LPs. Have his back catalogue. Loved his voice. Loved George.
Rodger Ailes I assume was 54 and George was 34 at the time of this interview. One of the best interviews I've watched with George. Rodger Ailes at the time of this interview was a very powerful character in the media. I wasn't surprised at the direct questions asked. It was like Rodger was intrigued by gay people but was asking on behalf of the American public who'd never known a gay person. It was relentless. Interesting to note George personally believed one gets to, 'choose' being gay obviously he went into more detail and that he preferred the word queer to gay. Just little things not of great importance. The interview covers his past drug addiction. I wondered why such an interest in his sexuality and thought was this the hiv/AIDS era/fallout and then later on that was mentioned about hiv/aids. A revealing interview of it's time really. Rodger selling his talk show on the station I believe that was newly created and he was President of. George selling his book. Many years later Rodger becomes headline news regarding allegations of sexual harrasment. To note that George liked to argue/debate but not to get one over though for power. Just with people and friends on subjects. A refreshing comment to hear today though from an interview long ago..
I always applaud Boy George whenever he does any Interview. The person asking the questions always seem to focus on his Sexual Orientation or his battle with Drugs. They seem to want to make him straight like it's a bad thing and try to change him. The Interviewer here is Ignorant and comes off quite rude but Boy George answers with Integrity and is quite knowledgeable and He doesn't let this person get to him. This why I admire him he sticks to his beliefs it could have been easy for him to get upset but he held his ground.
Gawd this Ailes guy needs to get beyond asking nothing but "gay" questions-when did you know, how did your parents react, are you happy about being gay, what does queer mean to you, did your parents do anything wrong to make you gay, etc... Ask about Boy George's music, what influenced his type of music, any upcoming albums, what is his favorite food, what is the book about. I only could listen to the first 5 minutes. Boy George shows tremendous patience, poise, manners, self control, intelligence with answering these stupid questions.
This was legit an amazing interview fr fr He seems like a genuinely outspoken and open person who went against the grain arrative and was very ahead of his time fashur
Boy you are a class act love you and I am always so impressed with not only you're talent and beauty but you're golden heart and exstreem intelligence 🙏🏻💙🙏🏻💙🙏🏻💙🙏🏻💙🙏🏻💙🙏🏻cheers
What a bizarre interview! Is this the 90's or the 50's? George held his own better than in any interview I have ever seen of him. He had major family issues in 1995. He did very well. I would have walked out of this. Hideous!!!
I believe that Rodger could ask those questions. George was selling his book about his life. There is an audience of people in the US at that time who'd never known a gay person. Many were many years behind in their thinking. However people today may find this interview intrusive but were back then educated from this interview because of those questions.
I love the answer to "do you think you're a man or a woman". Also look at how many questions were personal before someone finally asking about his art. I really hope this interview educated people and who better to do it than someone I'm assuming the question askers would've never expected to be so smart and eloquent in George?
This is a man who knows he’s wise, enlightened, and patient. He’s a teacher, but is so without having to speak down to his subject. The grace in which he deals with the interviewer’s questions is beautiful to watch. As he was about to answer what his favorite song was I said “Victims” to myself. I was glad to hear him confirm my suspicions.
This guy was so rude & Boy George siked his eyeballs. Boy George spoke his mind while keeping it cute & classy. This interview was more about his negatives than his positives so how is he supposed to get on if he’s always targeted….Well he did,he’s intelligent, humorous, beautiful inside and out and he’s very transparent❤❤
What An amazing Soul hands down !!! We Love you Boy!!! And those Ques from those fake Bibble belt Bitchs !!! Ancient Egyptians were Practicing Androgeny 3000 years ago Under The rule of Akhenaten and Nefertiti!!! They both were known as co regents each as important as the other and therefore there was no distinctions Between and Man and woman !!! It's a know fact that Egyptologists find it extremly difficult to identify gender of the mummy's which are from the 18th Dynasty which is Akhenatens and Nefertitis rule !!! Long live the Immortals and Long Live #BoyGeorge !!!
You cannot get a true understanding of a subject without real questions. An interviewer can softball questions but it won’t create the kind of understanding people wish for. George is a strong person and while the questions of this interviewer seem unenlightened, he is asking questions in the way that people who have no experience with gay people think on this topic.
The interviewer is pissing me off. If he is curious there are plenty of men out there.. I mean is the entire interview going to be about you're sexual desires?
from what I've heard about Roger Ailes I'm suprised that he is even in the same room as Boy George. Seems he isn't as piggish as one might have thought.
BG was so ahead of his time. So many interviews go on about his being gay. It feels so backwards and rude. No one badgers straight people on what made them straight or if they shag around or any such innane and personal questions. BG did very well to counter every question with calm and thoughtful answers. He's what we need to guide the next generation and not sleazy men who say one thing and do another.
hmm, I think the questions are very standard for straight men of the '80s. The questions are never a problem, the answers are. As long as Boy George or Caitlyn or Anderson Cooper or Elen answer with eloquence and articulation. It might help, to get uneducated, archaic comments or questions. I don't like condescending interviews where nothing is asked or both the interviewer and the interviewed are on the same page. Very little for the average Joe to learn from that. I think, and surprisingly, Roger was candid in their questioning, very much pandering to the level of his viewers, very clever, and George responded accordingly.
While Watching this interview decades after it was created, I realize that Boy George was a living “non-binary” before the term was adopted and utilized by persons who are gender fluid. Gender and sexual orientation are independent categories and I believe Biy George would likely call himself a “non-binary” with they/them pronouns who is attracted to men.
