I told you they dont need to force a rap into every song because dami can sing very well. If you had turned on the captions you would see she also has quite a high note in the second pre chorus. Literally she can sing lol

Deja vu is my favourite Dreamcatcher title track. It has the rock ballad vibe, and main rapper Dami sings. Her higher tone voice has jazzy vibe, which you can listen from their b-side, Jazz Bar.
Enjoyed the reaction, and yes Dami being a vocalist is the best thing. We need that album reaction next time or a guide if you want to know them better first.

Dami's singing part in this is not actually her singing voice..I think her parts in this is like a melodic rap..a lot of Bsides have Dami singing just like JAZZ BAR and CANT GET YOU OUT OF MY MIND

Even with you not being too into ballads I /knew/ Deja Vu's instrumentation and harmonies would draw you in, Fifi! It's such a stunning song and paired with the visuals it feels even more epic. I stan a looooot of kpop groups but "deja vu" and "silent night" also by dreamcatcher are probably my fav kpop songs EVER, this 2 songs are absolut masterpieces, actually their entire discography is flawless and absolutely incredible
THISSSSS this was the MV I was dying for her to watch oh my goodness. Dami's singing, the song construction itself, outfits, set, the falling shots, the way Handong left us with that line to hold the pain until she gets back-literally my favorite Dreamcatcher MV and I'm a hardcore insomnia. Scream and Boca are one thing, they're Dreamcatcher, but this is such a beautiful MV and shows how their vocals can be outside of rock (kinda lol) and it's just oh my goodness this is a game MV just imagine this concept or a higher level of production for a comeback. CHRIST.
I don't know if you'd be interested but Dami has a special clip where she performs her self-composed rap "Once Upon A Time" and I think it would be cool for you to see her rapping in her own style rather than rapping within Dreamcatcher's song styles. even if you don't react to it, I definitely think you should check it out!

I really recommend sahara, piri and endless night for a mix of more heavy rock vibes. Endless night is probably their most heavy rock metal song and its japanese next is break the wall which is also pretty rock. 😊

We have the same taste. After Black and White Deja Vu is also my favorite track. Uff not only their albums are really good but their personalities too. They are so open to everything and also brave. Dami (the Main Rapper) sings in their B-side Jazz Bar. I totally recommend! She's got a jazzy voice that fits the song perfectly! She also sings in another B-side And There Was No One Left (they actually did an MV for this one!)
The MV story is about a group of friends with JiU as the leader. Yoohyeon wanted more power and looses her friends in her thirst for it. you know what's interesting is that Dami, (their main rapper) has been getting small singing lines in title tracks for years now, practically since debut, but people often don't notice it because it is in her high register, not her signature low voice. also in their newer stuff she gets more singing lines in bsides and stuff. although she has gotten lines in bsides before. some of my favorite bsides with Dami's voice are Dear, And There Was No One Left, and Jazz bar. oh and also Can't Get You Out Of My Mind, their first full English song. :)

As I've said in the last DC reaction, if you wanna hear more of Dami singing then in my personal opinion "and there was no one left, and july 7th" are the 2 songs that I would personally recommend for a nice singing Dami but then again it's up to you and looking forward to more :D
Basically dreamcatcher main track have some rock influence.... But they experiment with all kind of music with the b-side song.... Dami In elementary school, she won first prize at a national choir competition.

Also there is another member who I believe is lower register when it comes to singing who is Handong, this is the first time you heard her voice she is the one that sings “so now I’m holding this pain” and at 2:03 from your video not music video she is sitting on the table, and she is currently in China but will be returning to Korea soon. It's funny because I started getting into K-pop at the same time you started your GG series and I decided to start with girl groups as well so your videos appeared in my recommendations and so far we have exactly the same faves! I love your reactions they help me to put words on what I like in a song because until now I didn't really know how to talk about music properly and I didn't know what to look for in a song, plus you're funny and your videos are always entertaining. I'm glad I found your channel ^^ Edit: For your future reactions I recommend Jazz Bar if you want to hear more of Dami's singing, Endless Night for the metal influence or Piri for a more pop-rock song (and the choreo is iconic). Or maybe you can do something on the Nightmare narrative (starts with Chase Me and ends with Piri). Anyway, there's a lot of content possibilities

If you want to check out the Sahara MV it's hilarious and the song is great but you kinda have to read the captions cuz the entire self made MV is just making jokes with the lyrics.
Since you said you love heavy music, I recommend the b-side from their latest album "Break The Wall" - it sounds incredibly powerful with their vocals there. This is a kind of direct NuMetal/Alternative sound from the early 2000s, and this song instantly became my favorite, which is hard to imagine with their amazing discography. Another (G)Idle video would be great. I think you'll enjoy the songs "Uh-Oh" ~ oldschool R&B ish, "Lion" ~ Tribal (made for the show Queendom) and "Hann(alone)" ~ latin/pop i guess? a lot. Their debut song "Latata" will just always be iconic, but i think it's less of your style. Although you don't react to Queendom/Kingdom performance due to copyrights(?), i'd definitely suggest watching their "put it straight (nightmare version)" performance. Even if it's just for yourself and you don't upload it ^^
