I have AOS and didn’t know prosthetics were an option to possibly make walking less painful. I’m happy to see something about AOS because no doctor knows about it and I always have to be the expert, but I quite like it’s slowly getting more and more known in the medical field.

I'm so glad they got feet that don't hurt. When they said the hard ones hurt, I immediately said they should use silicone. I wonder what took the doctors so long to figure that out.

To be honest, in a country with the NHS, I am very surprised that this couple were not told that the Dad’s condition had a name and was genetic by medical professionals.
@Stopthisrightnow560
@Stopthisrightnow560 7 месяцев назад
It was probably always there as an option but due to their age and how quickly they grow, it wouldn't have been the most cost effective option to have feet made that need to be replaced every 6 months. They also need to be at an age to understand the limitations of their prosthesis and how to use it/prevent any damage from occurring.

At the time, dad was unaware, they had a second child, a little girl, who was fine, they thought it was ok to go ahead and have a 3rd child. When you love children, you put your hope and trust in God for your children. They have 3 beautiful children who get on with life. I admire this family 100% and as technology advances, I am sure the prosthetics will continue to improve. Don't be so negative and love child.ren for who they are.

Ok, maybe I WILL keep the appointment with the podiatrist! Thanks boys! I spent the first 65 years with all of my toes on both feet. I ran frequently and loved it. When I was 65, I had a run-in with a bunch of Brown Recluse Spiders. Aside from very nearby dieing, I spent 4 months in the hospital, lost my big toe on my left foot. I had to learn how to walk again and after 5 years I can do something that vaguely resembles running! My BALANCE ABSOLUTELY SUCKS without my big toe. Ive talked about it with my doctor, but until seeing this, I didn't really believe it was possible. Know that you influenced an old lady in Texas! Good luck playing football!!❤

Of course the daughter didn't get it, a lot of these types of conditions are on the x chromosome. Men only have one x, so they're more likely to be affected. What I wanna know is why they had two more kids after the diagnosis, especially seeing how much pain it caused the dad and now the youngest son.

@@ariannamartello5198 clearly it does because 2/3 of the kids have it. Do you mean sex chromosomes? Because there is no such thing as "sexual chromosomes".
