I was in 8th grade… 2 matts set up side by side. Naturally, you try to find your opponent prior to the match to scope them out. There were 3 of us in the 135 weight class. We noticed the other team didn’t have many kids compared to us, but noticed right away there was a girl about our weight. Our coach approached us and brought us to the side. He said “so, one of you has to wrestle the girl”. The 2 guys looked at me, Ian and William, and both said “you’re doin it”. Naturally I accepted as I wasn’t going to allow myself to deny a match because of a girl, I had to wrestle a blind kid and a kid with no legs prior so what’s the worst that could happen, right? As the meet starts, the parents are sitting up in the bleachers spread across the basketball court while 2 matches were going on simultaneously. Then, my match came. Everyone stopped, all parents moved to our matt side, the crowd literally went silent. My Dad was sitting in the stands and told me he overhear some mom say “I hope she beats him”. My Dad responded with the exact words “at this age, girls no longer have the capacity to match up vs boys”. They took quite offense to that according to him and he just laughed like the usually racist/nazi he was. I was bet $20 I wouldn’t pop a woody during the match as the girl I was wrestling was quite pretty at the time, no other terms involved. I pinned her within 45 seconds, played around a bit, naturally bcuz she had a great body. It was quite fun and an eye opener for her to say the least. Fast forward 3 years later, we went to rivalry high schools and came across each other numerous times at sporting events/dances/etc. she turned out to be a dime. Fast forward another 4/5 years… I walked into a bar where she was. She immediately came up to me and grabbed me and we had a great conversation. We couldn’t break eye contact with one another, it was truly a dream. JC, if you read this, know that I always thought we’d end up together!
Eu não penso ser correto por uma garota para lutar este estilo de luta, que tem contato físico intenso, contra um garoto, mesmo que haja muito respeito entre os dois.
Can’t be proud to beat a female in wrestling, and you shouldn’t lose to a female in wrestling. But if competing is what we’re here to do………….your call.
I had to wrestle a girl once in high school. I was scared to death that I would lose somehow. It really is a lose lose for the guy wrestling the girl. The match was actually very easy, except for the three injury timeouts she used because she couldn't breathe from me pinning her to the mat. In my whole wrestling career I never had a guy take even one injury timeout like that. All the respect for the girl trying her best but I'm just not in favor of guys and girls wrestling each other competitively.
You tell the story like you are proud to have beaten a girl. If I were you I would keep it like a top secret event. I wanna see a big dyke competing with those little punks…..
I have zero respect for chicks jumping into men's sports, they need to stay in their dam lanes, it's ridiculous. I boxed for 3 years and no girl would have stood 20 seconds with any of us. Modern world.en are a bad joke
No, they're groping basically... put it this way...would it bother you if say your wife/gf was the one this was happening to ? or your mother or younger sister ect... @@tazbod6723
Nobody is going to say anything unless he does something inappropriate. It's a wrestling match, not a cotillion. They're gonna grab each other in "private parts." It's gonna happen, and both wrestlers know it.
@@johnross2924 Oh, I get it, and I wasn't trying to criticize you. Thank you for understanding. In the U.S., more and more girls are going out for wrestling. If a girls wrestling program or team is offered, they can wrestle other girls. But if they don't have that opportunity, they wrestle boys in their weight class. And what's great about it is, they are just competitors. Nobody takes it easy on anyone, nobody worries about touching anyone. They just wrestle, and when they're done they shake hands. Sportsmanship.
Whatdya mean? I like watching the boys pin the girls. It's kind of fun! But I also like seeing the girls pin the boys too! There's extra sauce to these matches because of the different sexes against each other that wouldn't normally be there
AND what about a gay guy whos wrestling guys? think the same thoughts ? touching her "irrespectfully" is not treating her like a combatant. Having sexual thoughts while wrestling is freaking ridiculous grow up
@@bakarspecialboy8816 so many reasons, for starters we had a kid on his way to a champioship bout got paired with a female and due to religious beliefs and upbringing he forfeited the match and refused to wrestle her, it was a family decision. Many dont believe that is right for boys to be touching girls in a violent manner and make no mistake wrestling is a violent sport,. As well many boys hold back and are hesitant to really put it on a girl for fear of being accused of inappropriat touching or potentially hurting a female. I personally dont believe its good to teach boys that man handling a female is an accepted practice doing so could set us back to the early to mid 1900s when controlling your wife was accepted.
@@scottborkowski2411 i think it's ok and good for girls to practice martial arts with boys(whether wrestling or boxing) it's good for them to increase their self-confidence and helping them overcome phobias, especially when a girl faces assault from a man, will give her psychological and physical experience gained from practicing combat sports like wrestling or boxing with men. I am against the traditional mindset that suppresses this progress only because of insecurities. I believe opposing this idea is backward and regressive so i disagree with u
I remember my 16 year old sister and my 14 year old brother getting into a shouting arguement at home. I was 12 years old. Well, my brother said something my sister didn't like and she slapped him! Without blinking an eye, he decked her with a right hook! She jumped up crying and ran to our mother. My mother was really cool asked what happened. My sister said she slapped my brother. My mom said, "Don't ever do that again!" Mom said if women are going to act like men they should be prepared to be treated like men! I miss her!
I did the exact same thing to my sister in 1976, she had 6 stitches in her lip. We lied to my Dad about it because she knew he would have ended me. We told him the truth 40 years later before he passed away. I still feel terrible about it, never hit a woman again.
@adam18272 Thanks, Adam! She was the wife of an Army combat helicopter pilot and the mother of a Marine - me! She was tough as nails with an equally soft heart! Mine and my siblings' friends loved her!
@@Alabama_Kurt sounds a bit like mine. I'm not a Marine though, but a wrestler. Huge respect to you for making it through Marine training! Do you wrestle too since you watched this video?
@adam18272 I didn't get to do organized sports in high school. My mother said if I wanted a car, I would have to get a job after school to pay for it. That instilled a strong work ethic in me. I do enjoy watching Olympic wrestling and collegiate wrestling. Wrestlers are among the fittest strength athletes!
The black boy at 11 thru 14:33 didn't hesitate to do what was required to win including placing his hands where he could get leverage. Gotta admire equality.
The parents of these girls need help. Why would you subject your daughter to this abuse? Especially in the teen years. When boys are no longer boys. Even if you think it will make your daughter tougher you are putting her in a lose, lose situation, shame on you.@@dirtywhip
If they woulda had boys v girls wrestling when i was in high school i woulda joined the wrestling team instead of soccer. I woulda been wrestling with half a stalk
Bro I hated wrestling a girl for practice (and they would make us do the most sexual moves as well) like pelvis to butt and then move from that position.
I'm just waiting for the first "sexual assault" lawsuit from these matches where the guy is accused of making it sexual. It's going to happen, just a matter of time.
It would be a relief from the crap the girls do to each other… The guys are more respectful… but it happens both ball grabs and titty twisters.. most of its recorded too… so we know what’s intentional and what’s not… But I rarely see a ref stop them and call the illegal actions…
My daughter tried wrestling on the boys team in HS, and I give her credit for trying. She was Ok during the freestyle season with girls, but after 2 years she gave it up. She's going to be a doctor soon.
As a guy who was a 6'5, 235 lbs HS Freshmen. I can't even imagine what this must be like for these girls. Went to a small town school, so I wrestled a kid or two who weighed maybe, 170-180 lbs. Ragged dolled them because of the weight muscle difference. This doesn't make sense to me.
This is a generation where believing you can does not meet with the process of how can you do it. There used to be an honor to how you get to the top. EG Rocky and his training scenes.
A girl played on our football team, she was extremely thin, and would say shit like "I'm out here just like them", a few days into practice some kid lit her up, she was taken out in an ambulance with a broken back. I'm aware females can participate, but come on. Regardless, a few years later there was another girl who played for another team, but she was very big and played the O Line, so she was legitimately in there.
OMFG! I had a girl on my junior college football team. She was by far the worst player I ever imagined. The coaches kept her because they were afraid she would sue the school. She took some poor kid's spot that didn't deserve to get cut. What made things worse was they had her playing middle linebacker. She wad not good enough to play middle linebacker on a high school freshman team. The coaches would put her in at tye end of games and she would get absolutely blown up! I'm sure she has cte from how many times she got obliterated in the games. They wouldn't let us actually play physically in practice like we did the guys or she would not have made it through the season.
@@TrestanSKYWALKR Wow dude, to play that position at that level is outrageous, I cannot believe you guys had to deal with that, I'm sure morale was high that year 😐.
@@JXC25 yeah it was pretty bad. Every team we played knew we were doing it to be politically correct. She made the news because she was the first female to play linebacker at any level in college. The school admin made us all be quiet. We couldn't tell the truth about how bad she was so most of us declined ro he interviewed.
it's always interesting to see how they put bigger girls against low weighted boys. having the same weight and being in the same category does not make you the equal, it is clear that within the possibilities what they do is predispose the game in favor of the girl
@@usmcdevildog6935 Of course, both must be in the same weight division, otherwise they would not fight, but the fact that they are in the same category does not make them the same, clearly a previous selection of opponents can be seen
I wrestled for 9 years when I was younger. In the Nordic Region we for some reason had boys wrestle Greco-Roman style while girls wrestled freestyle. Usually we fought separately but in one tournament abroad I faced a girl that was really good and had beat a bunch of lower ranked guys already. She would be allowed to wrestle freestyle and I had no experience with that type of wrestling! I was really worried about getting a boner and I remember the dread waiting hours before the match. Finally the match came and I remember lifting her but not wanting to throw her to the ground. With a guy it's usually full on but I more carried her down even if it cost me energy since I couldn't slam her. It's a double-edged sword since she was really good and I wanted to respect her ability simultaneously. I won with the pin and some match later went on to the final. This match had way more nervous energy for me than the final did.
I understand why you didn't slam her. I would have gone easy too, but you had every right to slam her if you did. She'd definetly bust your ass with glee. Ladies don't get to have it both ways. It's already lose- lose for you... Hope you got her number too.
Why is this even allowed? If I were an athlete in school, I'd refuse to compete against a girl. I'd forfeit or take a loss or even be removed from the team. But I wouldn't compete against a girl. They have men's teams and girl's teams for a reason. Its a lose lose for a guy. If he wins, he still loses because the world knows he "beat a girl". If he loses.....well, that might be worse yet. This comment is in no way putting women in a second class situation either. Its not about being superior, although as it pertains to sports and physical activities, men are. That's just the way it is. But women are superior in other areas of life, yet men aren't clambering to be better than women in those areas.
Glad to see these types of videos, so many posts about girls “making the boys cry”… enjoy your early childhood development advantage ladies, because come puberty … it’s going to be a bumpy ride on the mat! Lol😅
One advantage to wrestling girls is they tend to smell a lot better. My one experience with one in practice, her thighs felt squishy when doing a double leg take down. I think because they store more body fat in their lower bodies.
Guys smell so bad in wrestling, some do it on purpose .The ones that smell bad for an advantage are the same dudes that will try and check someone's oil.
@@desmadrex It's really a thing, ew.. never been appealing by cuddling with boys tbh i dunno it's weird, it stinks... i don't like to touch people skin, to like to be toucher if i'm not intimate with th person, and wrestling with women looks awkward, embarassing and pointless, that's also ambiguous mainly with teenagers and ther hormone, i would never let my daughter being "abuse" and handled like that.. Also men will won 99.9% of the time while it's about athletes in the same weightclass/skill range
I have to say that I don't know how I came to watching these videos regularly but I will say that in my two odd years of watching competition wrestling between boys vs girls.. I have YET to see the girl demonstrate the higher wrestling IQ or the more physically fit of the two either. It's always (with the exception of so very few) the male athlete that comes out triumphant in the end. Now , I'm no biologist but I AM realistic and realistically these matches speak volumes to the problems we've all been seeing with trans athletes competing against the opposite sex. That too is ironic bc everyone knows that every trans athlete transitioning from male to female... They oddly always seem to beat world championship level female athletes even though they themselves were just modest athletes before "transitioning". That really says so much more than society ever needed to hear tbh
I was in the heavyweight class in school. Faced some really big guys. Wrestling the guys was up against was exhausting. I couldn’t imagine wrestling a girl and couldn’t imagine a girl being as strong as a guy in the same weight class. That being said, girls are super quick. That first girl did a great job. I wouldn’t mind grappling her…I mean, grappling with her.
I thinks this is a good thing. It’s good that kids learn the power difference between the genders so that they respect and recognize each other’s strength.
If the first girl is in high school her physique is crazy good. Its actually great regardless of age to be honest. I knew female athletes and power lifters in their 20's and 30's when i was in college that couldn't build that type of frame regardless how much they trained.
How many people honestly believe that this is a good idea? (And why?) The whole dynamic would appear to create far more problems for most everyone involved as opposed to making our society a better, more balanced and respectful place.
There ISN'T a "competition" ANYMORE, the strength of a women vs man can NEVER be compared and so as a society have "boys vs girls" in a match like this... It's TRULY unfair. It's NOT only disrespectful and just wrong! How LOW we've become... Very sad!
What are you talking about? If you have a match between a male and female of similar builds, it's going to be fairly even. The only difference is that males are stronger in the top half of their bodies, and females are stronger in the lower half. The reason males are considered stronger than females is because males, on average, are bigger overall. So the average male will beat the average females. If you read what I said clearly, you will see I said "similar builds", which means you're having an above average female face an average male. There's no unfairness in that match. The weight class system in wrestling isn't always fair, though, since in the first match of the video, the male is lean and strong, and the female is a bit heavier and not as much muscle. Would've made more sense to have her face a guy similar in build to her, rather than just similar weight.
@@jjaapp18 You're trying to be clever here though. A guy is stronger in pretty much every area, end of story. The fact that you are asking us to pay particular attention to the exact words you used, so you can claim to be being truthful, while pushing something not really true, is telling.
Some girls are skilled and do manage to win against boys, but it’s usually because they are either big boned, or highly experienced in contact-sports and workout their bodies really hard. But that isn’t the norm, and it’s hard when girls want to wrestle but there isn’t enough girls to wrestle with, so they have to compete with boys. Also, boys constantly have to worry about avoiding the breast area on girls, so they have a slight disadvantage there leverage-wise. It’s just not really fair to me.
I tried out for my high school wrestling team, i spent one week training with them. It was the most brutal training I ever went through and I thought I was in the best shape because of football. After a draining week of wrestling practice it was finally time for the meet. One of my friends was excited because she thought I was actually going to join the team and I was hella stoked too. I watched her go up against a guy from the stands. She snapped her arm in that match. I decided to join the improv club instead.
The parents of these girls need help. Why would you subject your daughter to this abuse? Especially in the teen years. When boys are no longer boys. Even if you think it will make your daughter tougher you are putting her in a lose, lose situation, shame on you.
Ha. I’m glad my parents let me. My dad wasn’t a fan but he ended up seeing I could hang with the boys and make to the city championships - nothing wrong with them. Great parents for allowing me to do something I’ve always wanted to do!
As a grown man and in this crazy sexist society we live in....I WOULD NOT want to touch another woman/girl, let alone wrestle them. I grew up in a different age I guess. One thing I would like to know though is at what age does the average guy start to get a lot stronger then the average girl ?
I wrestled a girl in high school I was in the HWT division it maxed out at the time at 275. It was after Christmas so we always got an extra pound for “growth”. This girl weighed in at 275.9 and had more hair on her back than I have on my face now. My coach told me before my match with her that if I lost I was walking home. So I went out there threw her in a head lock instantly, but she halfway defended it and slipped out of grip as we fell. I then proceeded to land directly on her face with my hip. It did not end well for her nose. She had to be taken to the hospital because I basically flattened it on her face. It was not ideal for anyone involved.
This is bullshit. My son had a girl on his team in middle school and all the boys were afraid to grapple with her. She "won" many matches by default, and she had a bunch of girlfriends at every practice and meet yelling and screaming for her. Just what a pubescent boy needs...
It’s not outrageous. Lol First off, it’s only done where girls wrestling hasn’t progressed enough to have their own teams and leagues. More and more states are adding girls wrestling to their HS sports leagues every year.
@@joeydirty6112 you are entitled to your opinion and in general I agree with you that it’s not ideal, but serious injuries just haven’t happened in wrestling in the 30+ years they’ve been doing it. However, that’s why as Women’s wrestling grows they are creating their own leagues.
@roberttaylor Usually it's the other way around. Boys just lay there and let girls do whatever they want. They are not aggressive and do not try hard against females in a lot of these videos .
I was forced to wrestle a girl in high school. i was already two-time Texas state champion and had just won gold at AAU Nationals... It lasted maybe two minutes. Not a big deal, I pinned 85% of my opponents in the first round.
@@unsilent369you should have refused to fught her n sued if you didnt want. Girls would refuse no problem n this is loose loose situation. But finishing quickly without remorse is the best way out in this case

I love high school wrestling One of my sons was a D1 state qualifier 13 years ago He had early morning (6am) practice and after school practice. Never missed ONCE the whole time he was in high school, even when he was sick, or hurt. He even went after his grandfather's funeral. Only wrestler to ever do that. Really have fond memories of that season If I had a daughter I would NEVER let her wrestle.
In the second match the boy looked like he was in a couple weight divisions below the girl - is that normal? Is there an advantage for boys to fight girls heavier than them or for girls to fight boys lighter? - just asking?
It's amateur sporting so they may let some stuff like age and size not get scrutinized like it really should so bigger girls in with smaller but of age boys may be "allowed "
Most of these guys are relatively new to the sport. You can tell by positioning and the one the girl actually had to show him where to put his hand when he was in the top position. Just shows that it’s not fair even at a high school level and even less after.
Hahahaha man I’ve seen teammates that are in weight classes with women who joined hahaha and after there match they have to cover up there woody cause it turned em on after the match hahaha 🤣 I was too heavy for the woman’s weight class so I’m glad I didn’t have to wrestle a girl otherwise you know I probably would have gotten a woody too 😂
