@@celestematthews3266 They went down in sales while Mike was still with the group. It started with Evolution back in the 90's. For other groups the album sales for Evolution would have been considered successful, but because of the success of the two previous albums, Evolution was considered a commercial flop in comparison even though it was a great album and spawned Four Seasons of Loneliness and A Song for Mama. Between the release of II and the break they took after it, the music scene had changed and people weren't interested in them the way they were before because the boy band craze took off. Their money to promote Evolution was actually taken from them and given to 98 degrees. Also, the R&B scene had changed as well, and not for the better. Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya did even worse, and Full Circle (Mike's last album with them) was awful. Lackluster album sales one album into their five album contract helped them get the boot from Arista Records. All three of those last albums Mike was on were good albums, but they did not sell, and folks weren't buying their concert tickets. It doesn't matter how good the music is, if folks don't want it, they don't want it. And that's what happened to them commercially. Their commercial decline did not happen after Mike left. It happened long before it.
It will never be the same without Mike...even on their Anniversary album, you can tell that something is missing! When greed overcomes your passion for music and to make people smile, that's when the downfall happens!! Mike it's to bad that your being a bonehead! Boyz 2 men aren't complete without you!!!

Not here to argue with anyone here. I am a big boyzllmen fan from the beginning. But it really bothers me how all of them praises God and in the end squabble over money. If you're that into his word (God) you should know better. Also if you're that into music and your fans. Won't you guys pull together instead of worrying about money. You all are wealthy now. That's even more reasons to settle this ridiculous differences..

I respect their decision to oust that dude....you cant make more money than the next guy and you cant think that you're in your hay day again with those expensive suits they all wore back then...that just isn't the way it is anymore in the music business....I love this band whether its 3 or 4 guys in it, their music will live for many more decades to come....keep it going guys, you're doin fine......
They claim they love God. The Bible says when you go out and hunt, when you get back, feed your brother that couldn't go with you. Mike has MS. He is not just avoiding shows. If this people were real human beings, they'd use Mike's situation to raise awareness for MS, raise money for him even with shows. Watch how they will blow up again. All the songs they sang with Mike in are still hits. None of their new songs hit the spotlight. GOD doesn't like UGLY. SMH
Nathan was being sincere about it Wanya and Shawn threw shade in all that wasn't necessary. After all said they say the love him plus send out a shout to Mike.
@@celestematthews3266 Nathan had said Mike didn't love it like they did and that came from an honest place .Mike lossed the love for doing music after he got sick.I think he got fed up by not being able to do what the other guys did as he couldn't move to perform at the end .

It's a tough industry to be sick in.Where Mike went wrong is shutting out the people that cared including his own family .Can't let it be that bad that your don't speak to your own children for years .Those are the people you lean on to keep your sanity in bad times .

He confessed it all on Iyanla plus not letting his MEMBERS of boyz ii men know he had MS with caused him in DEPRESSION that separated him from them.
No, they didn't know. His wife and kids didn't know either. He never told any of them. They found out on TV/news. They knew he had scoliosis which was why when they would perform they had a chair or stool for him to sit on the whole show while they did the dancing and stuff.

How could they mention it when they didn't know about it? This interview was in 2012. Mike did not reveal that he had MS until he went on that Ilanya show in 2017 -- so basically five years AFTER this particular interview. He never told his bandmates about his diagnosis. Hell, he didn't even tell his own wife about it. All the other 3 guys knew is that Mike had scoliosis.
So he was there in the beginning when you were first starting out and now you're touring doing the golden oldies you can't cut him in? Why are you all acting like you're in your 20s starting out and he's trying to join? @@tydeprince719 They knew he was sick but after a while it got to the point where Mike couldn't stand and perform and I think that got to him but the other guys had to find a way to move on without him in order to keep the group working .
Mike said they wanted to split the pie THREE ways and he gets less that's alot of SHADE on MIKE. They're not happy at all I can see by they're body language

I dont understand these 3 guys..so if they were to replace mike with a fourth member (a bass singer), would they still split salary almost three ways and pay the 4th member a meager amount?
Mike admitted that he had difficulty accepting his illness and he admitted that he was dishonest with the group and his wife about what his true illness is.Mike doesn't have a relationship with his ex wife, his children or the group because of how he admitted to handling things. He said he fell into depression. I'm sorry you can't be dishonest with people close to you and expect them to know how to work with you and help you. People have breaking points and walk away.
Oh my God! Would you let Michael suffer when he is suppose to have people like you? Look, I'm not saying that you should share your proceeds equally... if you guys can spare a little portion from what you generate, no matter how little, he would appreciate it. Growing up as early teens up until now, we've (my brothers and friends) depended on your songs very much as a standard by which we lead our social lives. I don't think they let him suffer they just weren't for him dictating terms after being out for so long.As much as I hate to admit it I can agree with Nate because it ceased being about the music and the fans .
He was paid for a long time while he wasn't showing up. He still gets checks from publishing too, I'm sure. He's not broke (well, shouldn't be) even if he didn't do any other work after he left the group. Heck, he could loan me two till Tuesday. LOL

He has a few singing solos. He starts off U Know, he starts the second verse on Lonely Heart, He has a small part on Thank You, He does the first verse on Step On Up, and He sings part of the bridge of That's Why I Love You. I wish they gave him more leads tho. He could've been their Barry White.

Michael has MS - and he suffered for a very long time - why is this never mentioned in their reasons of why he not there anymore....the depression he suffered is part of the disease....I ❤️Boyz always have! but not sure why this is never mentioned and just throwing the “shade” :(
Because Mike never told them he has MS. He kept it to himself. He didn't even tell his wife. All they knew is that he had scoliosis. And saying that he didn't show up to work isn't "throwing shade" -- it's a fact. They almost got sued by promoters numerous times because of Mike not showing up for performances or other appearances. IMO Mike is just as responsible for this mess as the other 3 are. He is the one who refused to talk about his diagnosis. Maybe he had legit reasons for not trusting them with the info. I don't know. But it's unfair to expect your friends or co-workers or whoever to be a mind reader. The other 3 were going off the only information they were told - that he had scoliosis. They didn't know he had MS.
My thing is I miss Mike in this group he have might not told y'all everything that y'all need to know and that time but he's still needed y'all my auntie came home from Topeka and was with us for a year and didn't tell us then she had MS we found out when she fell out on the ground flopping like a fish and couldn't get up we had to call EMS to take her to the Hospital she didn't get out the hospital for a month
WOW MIKE DID SAID HE MISSED SHOWS AND DIDN'T WANNA GO TO REHEARSAL. HE WASN'T ABLE TO ATTEND THESE THINGS CAUSE HE DIDNT TOLD THEM THAT HE HAD MS MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS. IT ALSO PUT HIM IN A DEEP DEPRESSION THAT CAUSED HIM TO BE DISTANT FROM THE GUYS. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH HIM🙏🏿
I'm at point were i could give a good dam about this group ever getting back like they were.They really need to work it out with Mike and prove to the fans they're not that type of group back stabbing, you know smile in ya face only thing is haven't found someone to take Mikes place,yet.
Maybe something other than money actually pushed him away from the group because on other clips of mike he seems as if singing is still in his heart but its like he always has an excuse for leaving the group when asked by different people almost as if something drove him away and we dont know whats really goin on

Del T oh please they abandoned him and treated him like Trash. Those egos got to their heads & instead of being fair and working with their bro they cut him out and cut him off (no communication) when he needed them most. He shared his story on Iyanla. And then when you watch them talk about it they have this nonchalant attitude towards Mike. The group does not sound the same without Mike. Forgiveness and compassion is golden. They all need to swallow see real doses of that and humble themselves and remember the brotherhood above all otherwise they will never amount to the same success they had before
@@ForeverLuckyLika What you are missing is before Mike went on iyanla the guys had already made up during their walk of Hollywood event but Mike still went on iyanla and said they kicked him out .Nate is the only one who cared to even try with him after he was going through whatever he was going through and if he could say that Mike didn't love it like they did he would know.He was closest to Mike and still kept in touch with him even after he left the group.

The missing member should be glad to get anything. All he did was say "baby, I'm sorry, you know I love you, I know you know cheated, but I don't care" ha ha I only heard him sing once in "trying times" and that was good but that's that.. All the other songs he was just the voice which played a huge role, but he can't expect to the same as the rest.. Unless he was writing the songs himself..
Mike was diagnosed wuth m.s and dr told him make the wrong dance move u can severe a nerve and be parylised for life but he never told anyone just auit the group
That wasn't right at all my aunty died from ms 3 years ago she didn't have a lot of money to help her with insurance and doctors she just went through it by herself there was one time that you couldn't walk at all and she went to school to become a paralegal she graduated from that school as a paralegal and she started walking again and then she died so MS is nothing to play about I miss my auntie everyday that she is gone she's been gone 3 years and that woman fault everyday Carpenter when she died don't don't ever turn your back ain't nobody sick like that I have Uncle now that has Parkinson's
They knew and they were trying to hide it as much as possible until they couldn't anymore .Mike could have stayed in sick but he lost interest after he got sick

@M B sad I just lost my brother Sept 15 to M.S and the disease not only changes you physically but mental too. I understand they had to protect the brand but look out for the ones you love, find out what is going on with them business can wait life is too precious. My father was in the music business and I grew up without knowing him,, life is too short money can't trump family..
