I never realized how much Mike added to their sound.. they sound good But that bass in his voice just brings those beautiful Baritone voices together I pray he gets better. I also hope that they forgive him and he forgives them as well. This group was such a big part of my childhood. I would love to see them do another album.
They tried to use Brian McKnight for the bass but it didn’t work ... there’s no replacement for Michael... it just doesn’t look or feel right... and ever since they kicked him out the group couldn’t even go gold anymore ... their record sales have dropped significantly
That harmony at 4:28 when Wanya Morris starts singing is amazing it sounds like Take 6. Boyz 11 men is one of the greatest groups of all time along with Brian McKnight.
Hey Boys II Men. You're still phenomenal. I'm one of your old fans. You'll earn new ones. As far as your old ones, we miss the bass. It gave you guys a more rounded sound. Placed you amongst the ranks of classic groups from the 50's through the 70's.. AND made you stand out in the midst of the other 90's groups that were dope, also. Like 112, Silk, Jodeci, Blackstreet, Dru Hill, etc... but what do I know. 🤷🏾♂️
Quality and longevity are like finger and nail, never to be separated. That's Boyz 2 men for u or should I say the legendary Boyz 2 men. Many thanks from South Africa. Keep up the good work. Much appreciated. God bless
Boyz To Men were in The UK to promote an Album where they did cover versions of Songs by other Groups including Want You Back by Take That. They were on a UK Morning Chat Show where they serenaded the Hostess Angela Griffin with "Open Arms" by Journey, the poor woman almost lost it. She was also on the UK Soap Opera Coronation Street. In the UK they are Music Royalty to the point that whenever a Group auditions on The X Factor or Britain's Got Talent they almost always sing a Boyz To Men Song.
Bb Bb they never said that boo. If you listen carefully in the other videos you are referring to, they say he left the group because he couldn't make performances. BUT when he was Ready to come back (after about 10! years), then he wanted the same amount they were making. He almost broke up the band, but these 3 cats put in so much work to stay together. Like they said he only wanted to be there for the good times. True fans give them props for staying in the game over 25 years. There are not many groups that have never split up or taken a break!!! Realistically Mike had MS so physically he couldn't make it even if they paid him the same money, (which he has no rights to after leaving them high and dry) so he wouldn't have been consistent... which is what they needed after he left. Plus they always give 1000% back to the fans. For example: I saw them on Valentine's day in concert and they are one of the only groups that allow you to film and take pictures of the event.
S'busiso Mbambo Bass player played perfectly to the point where in the beginning I was trying to figure out who was singing bass, but to say that he stole the show is a bit much. Definitely deserve some credit tho.
celeste matthews - Oh and I said what I said cause you can hear the bass while Nate was singing and I didn’t know anyone else besides him and Mike could do that. Might’ve been Brian. Also it’s two years later and I’m just now realizing that the original comment was talking about the white dude and he was probably joking. 🤦♂️
I think that's a given because that music is music they actually connected with. But I personally listen to doo-wop so I think it's nice to here it with their kind of flare
Lol The white guy in the red seems a bit doubtful, and so am I. I love boyz ii men, but this was a tad pitchy in spots, and and I feel like it needed grounding with more bass from mike mccary. Shoulda got him onboard with a good cut. That's what I hate about the industry.
Damian Edwards he left because he had been afflicted with multiple sclerosis. He said he couldn’t perform anymore due to physical complications. He kept that a secret to most.
You call Brian a "brother" but you treat Michael like a wet food stamp??? GTFOH!!! If you had Michael You wouldn't need the bass player. #boyz2menisgarbage
