This is one of my top 5 favorite songs of all time (to hear, not to play)
I recorded this one just after recording the “Hook” vid that I posted.
There are a couple of bobbles in this recording. I dropped a stick right after the first chorus too (the spare stick has purple wrapping). It's not a song I've drummed recently. No lie, the “coming back in” parts just after the choruses have always been tricky for me to play. It would be much easier not trying to play along with a recorded track and instead being the guy (me) who brings it all back in whenever I want.
I think it was the legendary Jeff Porcaro on drums in this one. He had such a great style of playing. His “Rosanna” shuffle was perfect. I might have a clip posted of that song. I'd have to check.
