BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1990's
Maindee West Junction (Newport. South Wales) on 11th November 1993
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Maindee West Junction in Newport South Wales from an elevated vantage point with a great view of the lines to the station and the GWML towards the East and the line curving away to the North for Abergavenny and Hereford. Filmed on Remembrance day 11/11/1993. With Llanwern steelworks just around the corner the location was still quite busy and also keep an eye out for a rather good capture in the forms of locomotive 33035 in NSE livery. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
