Newport Station in busier times; 40 movements in 20 mins. 

In November and December '98 we spend a couple of days recording the large variety off freight passing through 2 x 08, 1 x 09, 12 x 37, 1 x 47, 9 x 60, 4 x 56, 7 x 66 and a couple of HSTs. Also the present car park was a stabling point just North of the mainline. Llanwern was a busy place back in the late '90s so we had iron ore and various steel trains passing.
