You forgot the elephant in the room, it's a copy of a CRF450X, and a pretty good one!

i've had my mx450 for a bit now, just chucked the motard wheel's on. And having so much fun but the gearing they supply feels like it revs too high at 100kmh so just keep that in mind.

thanks for the heads up, just put the motard wheels on myself so am super keen to give it a run

One tooth up on front should drop your revs about 6% and usually you can get away without needing new chain

When u need chain and strokes go a tooth or 2 bigger in front smaller in rear

im in the market for a newish bike, i was looking at a few 2020-21 WR450F for the $8500-$9500 mark and they are fuel injected plus Yamaha are known to be reliable machines then i seen this, the MX450 for like $7950 with 3 month rego and lifetime warranty, im very conflicted but after watching a lot of vids and talking to some owners im now starting to think about a Braaap MX450

hey mate, I am pretty happy with the one I have, I'm actually riding it more as a Motard these days and having a blast on it.

I am just interested in a follow up on your suspension setting and how you found it after playing around and finding a sweet spot. Also what mass are you? not wanting to be rude. but you know why i am asking. - would it cope with a bloke in the Plus 115 kg mark Plus gear or a suspension upgrade needed as on most bikes. Most bikes seem spring for the smaller rider 75 - 80 KG and a spring and shock upgrade often needed adding big dollars - My Honda added over a grand. for front for springs and new rear shock.

I actually like the suspension on this bike, I weight 80kg so it is in the ballpark of being the right springing for my weight. At 115kg you'll always find bikes being a bit too soft because as you say they are set up for around 80kg.

I do understand, gotta admit I am having a blast on it

@australianoutback I'll bet most of what you own was made in China! Starting with the very thing you used to make your nonsense claim about not being able to go through a puddle! Shows how little you know about riding a bike. I'm sure your comment comes from a place of ignorance. No I don't work for braap , I'm not chinese and have not ridden one , but obviously the guy in the vid has and is trying to give people a fair review.

so before fuel injection nobody rode through puddles? you're the dumbest comment i've seen this year.

You must be riding some pretty poorly maintained carbed bikes then! Never have carbs been an issue around puddles.

I don’t understand your logic here, many bikes from the 2000s and before we’re carbureted and you can ride them clean through puddles, have you ever ridden dirt bikes before sir?

if Braaap had half a clue they wouldn't put "MX" on a bikes with lights & a rego plate.

Its just a brand model mate, no big deal for me

They should make it something easier to understand like KTM with the XCW, XC. SX, SXF, XCF. Maybe they could call it the MXW since it has a headlight. Or maybe the MXFW because it's a 4 stroke with a headlight. Or maybe just call it a dirt bike.@@TheBikeStig
