It's not gambling if you know you're gonna win 😉. Good players make thousands of dollars a year. If they're still making profit after playing tens of thousands of hands then luck is no longer necessary for them. Some play poker for a hobby, they don't wanna grind 6-8 hours a day and study A LOT like the pros. They just want to "beat the game" and challenge themselves to make any profit, even 4$/hour.
Sorry, TDLR: it isn't gambling if you study and play poker well. Also most players actually do want to gamble. Pot equity, drawing odds, and basic math is free on google, but they only know the basic rules. They don't play often, they want entertainment and are willing to pay for it.
