I thoroughly enjoyed the breakdown of the early-2000's CCM songs. I listened to the same stuff in my teen years, and it's hilarious to re-visit those songs 20 years later. I vote for this becoming a recurring segment on the pod, please!
There’s a playlist of the ultimate 2000s CCM music on RU-vid and it’s got great variety. Definitely some hardcore flashbacks. Ha. Hawk Nelson, Skillet, Third Day, Jars of Clay, etc. Bangers
This is my favorite podcast 🤣🤣Warning: don't listen to this while drinking coffee and working at your computer desk. I was laughing so hard after taking a drink I had to decide on either: choking, spitting it out on my computer, or spitting it back into my coffee. 😅🤣
I’ve been an off and on listener since the beginning of ghostrunners but I just re-discovered it lately. It has quickly become a highlight of my week. Love listening to you guys while working around the house or running errands. You make the mundane so much more fun. Thanks for all you guys do!
Jake and brad that TikTok part is called a NPC stream and you were right about the paying for the response… it’s dumb but it’s really popular right now
Oh my gosh I am so shook by those first two minutes. Someone else already said it … I was smiling so big. You guys are just the best … and so talented!!! Like wuuuuuuut?!???
The didgeridoo 🎉 My husband and I went to Moab in 2020 and I picked a spot for dinner online. It seemed to be in the middle of a normal neighborhood. It ended up being a food truck, pay what you can, and had live music. We sat down with our food and this dude came up with the didgeridoo. He sang "Booty Town" which is very catchy. But a couple minutes in and a crowd is forming dancing. We got out before it became an orgy 😂😂😂 We will always remember that original song 😅
Did Win of the Week with my 5th graders for the first time yesterday! They don't really get it yet, but they will. If they couldn't think of anything, I thought of a thing for them. "Olivia, one of my wins of the week was your answers to questions when we were talking about growth." "Daniel, one of my wins of the week was when you kept dropping things on the floor and I teased you about putting me on a secret exercise program picking things up." I love pushing them to pay attention to positives. Thanks for the idea!
Definitely my favorite ‘sode to date! I listened to it and then came here to watch it. 10/10 highly recommend. The old school Christian music made me look through my CD collection in our garage and try to remember the name of my favorite ska band. It was The Insyders. The early 2000s were a great time. The W’s were also the bomb! And, no, I do not want to discuss why I still have a CD collection in my garage.
What a great 'sode! I didn't appreciate bass until a friend told me about the band Primus, which they emphasize bass guitar, coincidentally they also have a song called Frizzle Fry 🤣🤣 although they do not have the same worldview as Toby Mac if you listen to the lyrics 🤣 Lastly another great song that uses the harmonica to emulate a train is Orange Blossom Special by Johnny Cash. You guys ROCK!!! 🤘 Can't believe I have to wait til Monday again 😢 God Bless ✌️
recently did a fantasy draft with my dad, convinced him to draft 3 cheifs (so now he has to root for them) so go cheifs baby!! love this podcast, and the light you both share :) keep doing what you're doing
As a bass player this made me question my instrument choice 😂 I think bass is really sort of an instrument for other musicians, since they are the ones who really appreciate good bass lines and have the ear for them. Bands like The Cure, the Smiths, and the Killers all have amazing bass lines if you really give em a good listen!
I felt validated about Tim Tebow too! I worked a banquet he spoke at and I could have stayed for free and listened to him but I just couldn't, it was too much 😂
I’ve never heard of anyone else listening to Jumpin in the House of God! We used to play that in our church van when we were going somewhere for youth group. We’d be going crazy in the backseats and the van would be bouncing up and down. Ahhh the memories 😅
This is totally random, but if you know of anyone interested in Nascar tickets to Sundays race in Kansas, I have two tickets that I'm looking to get rid of!
Welllll… I can’t listen to the reaction to old Christian music, but I did discover a new KLOVE station a few weeks ago that plays only 90s-00’s songs and I love it! Brings back all the memories. In Jonesboro, AR, it’s 94.7 😜
I signed up for an Instagram account just to join the fantasy league and then never saw the story posted. 🙁 I figured your patrons would fill the spots immediately.
I think me and Jakes feed is same. A girl name pinky doll goes live and whatever gifts ppl send her she acts them out and now others are following. and yes they are making some money, its harder than what i thought. Pinky went live an did it for like 7 hours straight
15:00 this video explains the TikTok live thing well: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BL2jlv0XJu8.htmlsi=eKKWKRFCoaZ9zw3Y P.S. not a clean video (cussing), but is a good explanation.
That video is called an NPC Live Stream. They just act like a character inside a videogame and just react to emojis and comments. Makes no sense at all.
