I just posted a long comment about Iowa small town Mayor salaries, but it looks like it got taken down, presumably because the dollar signs made it look like spam. To sum it up... Of the sampling of Iowa small towns I found, they ranged from $40 per meeting (Essex, pop. 722) to $8,000 per year with a $55/month cell phone allowance (Fairfax, pop. 2,828)

Okay, I'm going to bore y'all a little. I heard Sing Sing Sing and my ears perked up. Lol. So, in 1936 a fellow New Orleanian, Louis Prima (the voice of King Louis from the Jungle Book) wrote Sing Sing Sing. Many people have covered it, the main ones that come to mind are The Andrew Sisters, and Benny Goodman. It was actually the first song to feature the drums in a solo. I met his daughter, Lena a few times, she's also an amazing performer! 💙

My father-in-law and I changed out an alternator last week on Labor Day. It is not super hard but you have to make sure the tension on the belt is not too much. I was about 19 when I changed out the starter on my Mercury Cougar. I bought tools at the automotive store and did it all by myself. Not too hard!

Jake and Brad- I’m listening back to old episodes and laughing so hard at Brad’s poultry with a guy named Connor 😂 Connor claimed he likes Qdoba more than Chipotle, and says that Jake is NOT a redhead. I work in city government, Mayor pay can really depend based on if it's a Mayor strong city or not. Some cities a Mayor is a full time job, some cities it's more of a part time job. Not that that helps answer the question of how much money! haha Also as a non Chiefs fan I love Brad's wildly wrong prediction :)

59:01 Not sure if anyone else has talked about the Indiana counties, but Marion County is like downtown Indy, and Hamilton County is where all the richy-rich people live. Also the home of the most roundabouts in the world, I think! Not sure about the climate change thing, but whatever it is, don't offend the high tax payers! Hahaha

We need an updated intro with Timon harmonizing. Voice only, keep the lyrics. As you said in a previous episode, theres something amusing about hearing "every Monday morning w Jake n Brad" on a Wednesday. Also, better get the most out of T now while you can before hes famous, ya know.

So funny I didn’t realize you were talking about Don’t Worry Darling when you were talking about the song. I was thinking to myself “pretty sure that is in “Don’t Worry Darling” (it’s in about 40 other movies/shows) then you said it 😆 it is a good movie. The SpongeBob reference 😂
