I had the lapband done in 2007. Got it removed this July (2024). It worked really well until it didn’t. Band had slipped and adhesions all through my duodendun. You can imagine after 17 years. In addition, I have a hiatal hernia. Will be getting RNY this Dec. So happy to have found you all. How have things been going?

This was a great share. Thank you guys. It sucks that your op experience was so painful Brad. I’m pre op band to bypass revision so I’ll be hanging on your updates.

Thanks for your story. I am 2012 I had dilated and horrible reflux, totally deflated, but I declined removal in 2016, wrong choice, now I am stuck. Yes, the truth about the lapband is out, not many people longterm more than 5 years remain thin.

Hey guys! So good to see you both! Miss you guys! Brad feel better soon buddy! I feel I’m in the same boat with my band. Gained all I lost back and so many issues I feel like such a failure. But I’m gonna tough it out this year and next year work on what I can do to fix it!!
