to be honest, i´d rather NOT have that scene at all (the hug i mean) , it just feels stupid and out of nowhere right now. If the creators don´t want them together , that´s fine, just don´t put stuff out there and then forget about it completely, it just ruins their characters story IMO.

He cannot date Chen. That was pretty well covered in season 1. Not only is it against department regulations, but it’s a bad look. That’s why Chen and Nolan broke up in the first place.

Them dating is going to be a bad thing for the department. Why do you think nolan and lucy broke up? Theres a reason they arent together.

It doesn’t make sense from a character standpoint. Tim and Lucy throughout look like they like eachother. Regardless i think eventually they will end up together.

@@rayfpdl Yeah they probably didn’t intend it but it makes it all the more realistic. Sometimes you don’t expect to fall in love with someone till it just happens.

Yea, I'm one who does not. I socializes our culture to believe male and female workers will often have a romantic relationship. It would have been really healthy to show them as solid friends who kept a solid line around that. And also, when any significant relationship ends there is huge damage to the social structure around that relationship. Work place social groups and friend networks are often divided. And it was a dust covered crusty groaning cliche in this show. Many of the people shipping them would freak out and go straight to HR if a co-worker asked them for a date.

As Tommy said. Being a supervisor isn’t for everyone. It’s hard to move up to management when you’ve been “one of the troops”. Also, you don’t just get gifted a supervisor rank. You have to pass exams, etc. Some people just don’t want the responsibility.

Oh I checked the stripes but turns out if you can see his sleeves, he has a lot of stripes (I noticed cause he was wearing a longer sleeved uniform and that’s where I found the other stripes that denote how longs he’s been in service).
