Only applies to civilians, downed pilots and the red cross, any entity with harmful intent is considered a valid target

If the aircraft is shot down and the occupants parachute out it’s a war crime to shoot them down this includes the airborne troops parachuting for necessity and pilots. But the Geneva does not protect airborne troops with the intent of attacking you.

30mm guns are scary. One missed my uncle when he was danger close to the targets. He got hundreds of pieces of gravel shot into his skin from the impact of the bullets about 20 feet from him. He said after the first bullet hit he heard a tap, and temporarily lost his hearing. He said his buddies had to come help him because he was in shock. 30mm are scary af.

the "rhino" is a very simple piece of equipment. its a tin box with 1-4 spark plugs in it that heat up to the temperature of the engine block. it sticks out in front of the vehicle to set off heat triggered I.E.D.'s so that the blast misses the vehicle instead of hitting the vehicle.

Firing on airborne forces who are descending by parachute is not prohibited. According to the Geneva Convention, knowingly firing at a medic wearing clear insignia is a war crime. In modern times, most combat medics carry a personal weapon, to be used to protect themselves and the wounded or sick in their care.

Upon contact, spread out really WIDE in a V formation with your vehicle facing the targets directly, not turning them sideways or at angle so as to reduce the surface area that's being exposed should they attempt to rpg u. A line or W formation would no doubt be better than V but in terms of flexibility & transition time from a file formation to the next, a WIDE V formation would be the most feasible.

In OFP there was a trick in case if you rolled a tank. First - do not disembark. Have a gunner to turn the barrel to the side and up (which now means further down to earth :D ), then move to driver position and select manual fire. If you fire your main gun in that position it will actually not fire a round, however it will recoil. So you can basically use that recoil to right yourself up. Sometimes you will need to dryfire several rounds in rapid succession and may end up high in the air :) Not sure if this still works in ARMA3. I never rolled a tank in ARMA3 to test it.

No. Shooting paratroopers as far as i know doesnt count as a warcrime. Only pilots and civilians with parachutes are considered as a warcrime.

Some are bothered about killing paratroopers and if youve search it on google, a misleading statement will pop-up (wikipedia) which said "parachutist from aircraft"(broad). If you read the official article, it said in protocol 1 that "Airborne troops are not protected by this Article". Only civilians and pilot parachutist are illegal to kill on airborne.

Im about to get this game, better late than never. Do they have a mod that slows the vehicles down to more realistic speeds. This game is about realism after all.
