The amount of haters that come here is phenominal. Even when i tell my stories of meeting some of these riders I get haters😂 Some people just like p1ssing in other peoples corn flakes. Those same people probably dont have anyone to love them or wish they had a new Van Rysel😂 🤘🏻🏴
@@kennykaniff Decathlon stores in France are really great if you're into sport. We bought a weights bench and a dartboard on a recent trip 😄 They sell bikes too, but do they sell Van Rysel 🙏
@@davess61 not sure if I told you this already but I was born and raised in England and then in '82 my parents moved me to California so even tho I always end my comments with 🤘🏻🏴 I've actually lived in California for over 40 years but my home will always be 🏴 Hence, why I end ALL my comments this way . . . 🤘🏻🏴
@@davess61 born in Stockport and lived in Los Angeles most of my time in California but now live 2½ hours north of L.A in a town called Pismo Beach. The beach is ½ mile from my house and it's beautiful but my heart and soul is still back home in England 🤘🏻🏴
In 2017 I cycled from Dartford to Wilmington after two spliffs and a four pack of Stella. I have lived in fear of that 'knock on the door' ever since .
Coppi doped. Anquetil doped, Simpson doped, Roger Revere doped, I like sean kelly and his palmares are impressive but because he was riding at the time dope was rife and all over the peloton, i think he doped, Steven Roche doped and was around he time of Sean Kelly's time in the peloton. The only one i tend to think of not doping during that time, was poulidor. He kept losing to others so must be clean. Or they were just more juiced than he was.
I notice you conveniently ommitted that froom's drop in form came after his near fatal accident at the Dauphine. Never lrt the facts get in the way of a good story.
Remember AC, LA, Lemond, Bernal, latest Vinge? They all came back from death beds and won again, with Lemond being the worst hit. Never let the facts get in the way of a good story to believe in, right? SMH.
That was end of his impressive career. He is a has been now and not even seen in the peloton for the tour de france anymore. I managed to bag one of his musettes when he was at barloworld. I got both steven cummings and foomes musette at the same time. Year later i got another bottle from steven when he was in sky.
Tried to read Wiggo’s bio last year but couldn’t cope with the mix of arrogance and bitterness. A flawed hero. Don’t wish him ill but hard to like all the same.
His father apparently shared the charisma gene with young Bradders. Found dead on a street in deepest inner Australia. Head bashed in. Nobody ever found guilty. Presumably in a small red dust town everyone knew whodunnit. Nobody cared much.
Neither of them were true Englishmen, albeit Wiggins was more English than Froome. When will we have a true English winner of the Tour de France like maybe one of the Yates brothers.
I have asthma and at one point was encouraged by the fact it was not a barrier to doing well at sports because there were many top athletes that where winning top events despite also having the condition.
"Having" asthma is basically a requirement to do top level endurance sports because you legally get to take the necessary drugs to widen your lung. It's incredible how many top athletes have asthma... Technically they are not winning "despite", but "because", at least to a degree.
Nah, he had his chance to live a clean life and is a husband and father with responsibilities. He deserves everything he gets for betraying his family.
I thought Froome was clean too. Team sky should be investigated by the police or another organisation and the responsible punished. Same goes with the UCI who covers up positive doping samples.
People like you were the worst! 😆 Sky fanboys were worse than Lance fanboys on message boards in the 00's... but nice to have you over on the "dark side" 😉 Bonus info: my favourite Sky "marginal gain" was Richie Porte taking his own pillows to races 🤪
@@Deathbybono73 an older - more jaded - friend of mine was absolutely adamant that the Sky train were on drugs, a la the US Postal days of old. I didn't want to believe him but now I see the situation very differently. The ridiculous number of GB wins at the Olympics of 2008-2012? are highly dubious too, in my eyes
TUEs need to be public information. It's the same as campaign contributions in the US. Legalized bribes and legalized doping are still bribes and doping.
Cycling and all major sports need a superstar. Out of 150 top riders, you cant naturally have a man that is always winning. You need a tour star juiced and too big to fall, with a blind eye turned. See the Lance story, and how pro cycling is not of public interest anymore.
Interest is as high as ever, with new markets in Africa, far East, etc... Same as Baseball, where even a srike between rich and richer men couldnt turn fans away, a whole striod era didnt do any damage, heck not even obvious gambling scandals from the biggest new hero. Fans are fans, like voters are voters: They never learn they get laughed at. Me I watch it as pure entertainment, fully aware of it being a freak show, as any other pro sport is. I only take care not to invest a single cent on merch, pay per view, or buying products advertised.
@@FoxxyBrown1111 dude, nobody is interested in baseball outside the US. Except maybe Japanese high school kids. But good say about not investing a cent in any of these PED sports, I like that.
Actually way before Merckx From the very first tour de France when riders were taking the train on longer legs Drugs were appearing not long after ( ww1 era )1950's/ 1960's jack Anquetil, etc, british rider Tommy Simpson dying on ventoux, drugs all along
Bradders doesnt help himself. I cringed in 2012 when he was sat on that throne... Shame a great talent and some awesome achiecements. Sorry to see his personal life go like this. Really hope he can bounce back...❤
@@cyclinghighlights No its an Israeli team. Since when do you ever mention the religion of any other team. I dont hear you talk about the Muslim UAE team. Some really inappropriate prejudice.
I think a lot of his problems came from the fact he was sexually abused. This has affected many of his actions over the years and people shouldn’t be too hard on him. I feel sorry for him.
Any top cyclist has to be dirty. They would have no chance of winning otherwise. That's why Chris Boardman never won the TDF. Because he was clean and the others were dirty. I finished with cycling after Pantani. Should call it the French festival of drugs instead.
The narrator is as clearly as bitter as the men he's attempting to degrade. At least they made it. And perhaps you should look at the effect child abuse has upon folk in their adulthood.
I didn't understand why it was necessary to say "The Jewish Israel Premier Tech Team". Do you have to be Jewish to ride for them? Why did you include that?
God, that 2012 season was cringy. Sure, Wiggins deserves that misery for having cheated and lied, but the bosses and UCI accomplices would too. Instead, they keep ruining the sport.
using tues to dope was definitely the way he got to the top. Yes he won but at what expense and now hes looking a complete failure. To have it all and blow it is worse then not having it at all
Yes they abused the TUE system. They have to close that "hole" so they cant abuse it. Some riders take shortcuts but what can be done to fix that TUE hole so the riders can abuse it and dope?
Imagine this hilarious ending to the Froome story: He realises that he is in his final contract year, and decides to go 110% clean again, like he was at sky, and gets results again ? Even better, he gets results, and then gets busted ? But maybe he is too smart, and decides that four years for Israel is enough of a paycheck 🙂
Lance was a big lesson. No point losing your reputation, finish in the pack and make some retirement money. The risk of doping again ain't worth it, LA has said he wished he never made his comeback
Same with Dumoulin. He was smart enough not to go balls to the wall and just collect his paycheck. No point in risking it all just for 1-2 more wins if you can even get them.
Well lets just hope that the fake Mod (Which by the way was basically a marketing strategy) doesn't start having some crazy idea of banging about with that bloke that likes to call himself Tommy Robinson.
Say what you like about wiggins, he got millions of brits into cycling. Same with froomey a great decade of winning the biggest bike race on the planet. Now that’s a good thing in my book. You have to be real green to think any champions before or after the sky domination, are competing clean and winning.. nothings changed and it will continue to be this way 🚴💵💵💵💵💵💵👌just reality of money and sport. Keeps you people in a job producing, RU-vid content.
Wow dude i could said the same about doped Lance in USA or doped Riis in Denmark. Amazing comment, thank you Bjarne for everything you dope, thank you Bradley!! You're the Best!
@@trevekneebone369most those were the expensive mtb guys who realised they didn’t have balls or skill for anything more than a fire road. Hence back to the golf course.
Another great video…you should do one on how many professional cyclists in their 20-30’s have had heart ailments 🤨compared with the world averages, seems way up there
Do not forget the froome had a "life threatening" crash at the Dauphine and this is why he cannot reach his past level..... (cynism). Take this Bernal....
Guess we just have to accept that drugs are an integral part of bike racing. They always were and always will be. What they're taking today I've no idea but it will be something. As one famous cyclist once said 'Do you expect us to ride on bead and water'? Said in French I believe but you get rhe point!!
@@cyclinghighlights so by saying worse, you agree froome crashed . that's better ,if you want street cred about your claims don't lie about real avents.

Your stories of meeting other riders....what's so special about that; are you a grown man? Do you think they want to meet you really...or is it some marketing and advertising BS for their sponsors benefit and greed and pay for more PEDs to cheat? Whole thing is a money generating pantomime for a select few which is mugging you off.
I don't know this commentator, BUT he sneers "dopers" like they were murderers. No wonder the British press has such a horrible reputation worldwide. I bet this presenter was literally blowing these stars during their heyday. Such hiprocracy and vitriol .Does all that rain make you so nasty? 😮
The narrator is just so disrespectful to Wiggins story. The bankruptcy can happen to all of us and you don't need to be dumb or a dopper. Do your job better, not this sloppy yellow video.
@@jamesj53 How about starting your own cycling team? Noble idea, but didn't return the investment. His debt is only 1 mio USD, that's not so much at all.
talk about us postal and lance armstrong...sky were worse.....pure cover up because it would have been the death of cycling...froome,wiggins,thomas...all should be stripped off there tour wins....
I remember meeting Wiggins at the hotel in Shell Beach, California while he was in Yellow in the 2014 Tour of California. I thought since I was English and had my Union Jack on my shoulders like a superman cape he would be a decent guy but he was an absolute d1ck. He did take a pic with me but wasn't happy about it. The next time I saw him was 2016 at Tour Of California with his new Team Wiggins and he was drinking a coffee sitting on the bonnet of a team car and asked him for a pic and he wqs rude as hell. Sometimes meeting famous people you admire is not what you think it will be Of course I've since come to accept that Team Sky was "110% clean" and my whole perception on these riders has changed but at this time I was just happy to meet riders that would eventually go on to win their classifications at the TDF like Pogi, Bernal, Cav, Wiggo (had already won TDF) and others like Aliphileppe 🤘🏻🏴
I don't blame him. Who the hell wants to take pictures with random people who have some weirdo obsession with someone they never met but saw on tv. Creepy.
@@isitrachelorj3953 I admired his capabilities as an athlete NOT because the was "famous" also he wasn't even "famous" at that time. Especially not in the US. 🤘🏻🏴
@@roadcyclist1 aww that's so kind. Not sure if you are aware but these riders are in the spotlight. It's not uncommon for "random" people to approach them especially when you're staying at the same hotel as the team. Nobody has said anything about an "obsession" other than you. Cav was ALWAYS kind to me. Taken about a dozen pics with him over the years anf he would even remember me each year when I'd show up to different stages and most people say he's a d1ck but I had opposite experience with Cav. But you're so kind, thank you for chiming in. I bet you're a blast at parties! 🤘🏻🏴
