In this video, I’ll show you how to make a Braided Alpha friendship bracelet using the texture of the knots when the string is knotted over the base strings of your bracelet. I personally love this pattern because it doesn’t involve any color switches and is much easier to make than it looks!

This is great! Been making “flipside alpha’s” (aka micro-macrame) bracelets for years but this is the first video I’ve seen on the subject 🤡 Ideal for those like me who struggle with double half-hitches!

I just forced myself to make a bracelet because I was in a HUGE bracelet slump (I haven’t made a bracelet in 2-3 months) and it was only a Chinese staircase bracelet but I love it so I might make another one tomorrow 😊

Are the colours at the back always gonna show? Also, can i make all the base strings the same colour and tie a knot ant the end to tie to base strings together so that i remember they go together? Would that work?

The colors showed in the back for me, but if you use the same colors as the working thread, they won’t contrast and therefore won’t stick out. And yes, you can tie the base strings together if that helps you! :)
