Wow, the finished look is probably the most natural weave I've ever seen. Well, I guess I may have seen others and just wasn't able to tell they were weaves.
@maxMSMT
@maxMSMT 8 лет назад
this totally makes sense and eliminates the knots and bumps from braiding which helps to trap sweat n makes the hair smelly. bet it's easier to shampoo and dry this method as well.. love it tierra.. what's the technical name or more popular name for it? I'd like to try and see if any local hairstylist can do it
@TheTierraJ
@TheTierraJ 8 лет назад
Yes, exactly!! It is called the "braidless sew-in" some may refer to it as the "micro link sew-in" as well. Thanks so much for watching!

do you have to straighten your hair everyday
@beautifuldistractionatl128
@beautifuldistractionatl128 7 лет назад
without micro links or with it some would consider this a Malaysian technique
@ninamcrae7295
@ninamcrae7295 7 лет назад
+beautifuldistractionatl the Brazilian and Malaysian techniques are similar but use tiny tubes instead of rings and even smaller sections of hair.in the malaysian method ,once the row is completed the stylist goes back and takes a section of each of the already linked hairs and links those sections together to relieve and distribute the tension placed on the single linked strands forming a v like formation.

Yall, the last time I had a sew in (November 2013), I ended up with a LARGE egg sized bald spot in the crown of my head. I've been afraid since. If I can find a good stylist, I will go through with it. thanks for the advice.

Great job! I just wanted to note that this type of sew-in is likely best for those who don't have to heat style their hair too often. Not for those who do not know how to work with their own natural hair. It's more permanent than clip-ins, so if you can wear those, you can wear this.

First let me say, from one hairstylist to another, I love your videos and your work!!! I've always wanted to do something like this on my clients, but I always wondered about breakage and how it would hold up. Have your clients ever experienced breakage with this technique and do you suggest this be used only on thicker hair or all hair types? Thanks in advance!!

Great showing this technique. I always wanted to know how to do this. If you do another video with this technique could you slow down and show where the needle and thread are going in relation to the bead and empty space. It looked flawless. Question... Is this called fusion? And I missed how you remove the beads properly. Thanks!

This looks great. It’s flat and looks natural. I don’t understand how this method less tension? Adding the beads and tightening them seems exactly like a corn row to me. I also don’t see how this is protective if your hair is left exposed and you have to use heat to blend for straight styles. Over all I think this is a great method for those who like the updo ponytail, leave out, and women with softer hair textures who wont require a lot of heat maintenance.

@dessilinaford2437
@dessilinaford2437 8 лет назад
The beads are applied very close to the scalp. Then applying more tension to install the extensions. After that wear and tear. This is not a protective style. I am licensed , I used to see women with these beads having bald spots due to the tension or not taking care of the scalp.
@sisteryaya24
@sisteryaya24 8 лет назад
Thank you Dessilina! Just as I suspected. My hair is getting healthier by the day and growing fast and I don't want to do anything to hinder that progress. Can you suggest any protective hair techniques that don't break natural and/or fragile hair off?

You’d just pinch the bead in the opposite direction. So instead of it being pinched closed you’d pinch it the opposite way to make it “open”. So she’s pinching them to close vertically- to open you’d pinch horizontally. Sorry for rambling- hopefully that makes sense.
