This has got to be the best version of Brainiac 5 ever!! Even though he barely resembles the comic book version of himself, the design and power upgrade in this show was beyond epic! Sucks that they didn't make him like this in the comics.
Writers: Hmm, Brainiac 5 doesn't really have many powers in the comics, so how do we utilize him in battle? Their Kids: I wanna see a robot shoot lasers like Iron Man Writers: Oh, sorry, the Legion doesn't have a- Their Kids: ROBOT WITH LASERS THAT GO PEW PEW Writers: But making him a robot will detract from the importance of his intellect, of mind over matter- Their Kids: _LASERS. THAT. GO. PEW PEW!!!_
@@professional.commentator And that's totally fine. I just find it hilarious that one of the Legion's physically weakest members ends up a complete beast on the battle field in the show XD
@@FloRence-gl8fx Oh yea I see your point. It's actually kind of weird because I don't think Brainy was supposed to look super powerful in the TV show. There's moments, here and there, where he gets clumsy and is easily overpowered by weak-ish villains. But then there's also plenty of moments where he can take on multiple villains at the same time.
@@professional.commentator That's pretty standard for cartoons, making the hero struggle with one villain while overpowering another for the sake of the plot. B5 was meant to be a powerhouse or just a kid in over his head when the story needed it.
