I wanted to post a long form video to see how it performs subscribe :) #dc #flash #dccomics #justiceleague #explorepage credit - Warner Bros. Films movie-Justice league crisis on infinite earths part one
He's not basically evil, he's just playing it safe since the syndicate is too much for him to handle so johnny learns to play the same game as the syndicate plays but he always check himself if he's gone too far.
They all knew there was nothing they could do and theyre planet was doomed, so instead of giving up and running they just did what they always do and tried to fight it. Respect
I mean if Ultraman has Superman’s powers. Punching the wall of anti-matter and it working would not be the most ridiculous thing Superman’s powers have achieved.
"My plan? My *plan* is I'm gonna punch that anti-matter wall so hard it shatters into a million pieces." Know what? Despite how incredibly dumb that is, it's also so ballsy that I can't help but respect it. You go, Ultraman.
That's what I like about THIS Crime Syndicate, they didn't cower, they didn’t try to bargain, they were Rulers, Warriors, and they were going to die like them, fighting with all they had with no fear, even if theyknew there was no stopping it, it didn't mean they wouldn't fight the inevitable
He's not entirely evil , he only follows the syndicate when it applies to him , and he truly cares about the general public other than himself in some situations.
@@gnikhcil That doesn't really make sense considering they're the mirror universe versions, inverting defining characteristics. The Ring of Volthoon is powered by fear (unlike the Yellow Light of Fear, which is powered by _instilling_ fear, though Jessica Cruz has wielded both, she got the Ring of Voltoon after CSA Hal died but later became an GL then went through a YL phase and went back to being a GL) ; the current Ultraman is immune to magic and every version of him requires green kryptonite to use his powers; Owlman chose to control crime, rather than fight it, etc.
@@mattwo7Ring of Volthoon is outdated The Overlords of Oa use their rings to become super dictators with John allying with the Crime Syndicate since their the strongest in the planet
@@J10005Makes me wonder what the Earth 3 Zamarons and other counterparts to the Star Sapphires are like. Apparently Carol only appeared in one comic? Earth 3 definitely should still have an emotional EM spectrum if there's a version of the Green Light of Willpower, just an inverted one: We already have the Green Light of Fear (though I can't seem to find any source that says what the green light is powered by or instills if anything) then Yellow Light of Courage, Blue Light of Despair, Red Light of Tranquility, Indigo Light of Cruelty, Violet Light of Hate and Orange Light of Charity.
3:17 When I hear this line, it makes me feel like Johnny would have loved a world of heroes, that he has a good heart but his was just unlucky in the cruel universe he was born in and simply adapted to it
@@14mespider9 I mean, every single universe is getting destroyed, and that's what you wanted, so technically it *does* matter. PS: This is a joke reply, don't take this seriously.
This version of the Crime Syndicate would make for a really good comic in my opinion. They all "die" to the anti-matter wave that results to them all returning to an earlier point in time where they end up in an infinite loop dying to the wave until they ultimately change their ways and maybe even lead the battle against the Anti-Monitor.
In this situation, there are only 3 options: 1: Accept that this is the end and die standing. 2: Run away as fast as you can, knowing you can't outrun it. 3: Attack it and hope it does something. Yeah, the most logical answer is a stupid useless gesture.
like a fighter in d&d seeing a wizard conjure a wall of fire and then throwing rocks and sticks at it, yeah, despite them just passing through or dissolving
I mean, there's the satellite footage of the Mt Pinatubo eruption which happened near the center of a passing typhoon in which it absolutely destroyed it by throwing huge amount of rocks and dust into the typhoon.
1:01 he isn’t the true Owlman but this line makes me think this is an Owlman, that had he not died, could’ve definitely became the man we saw in Crisis on Two Earths.
I feel bad for Johnny quick i feel like he was more good like asking flash about the world and even telling him to run i wish flash could try to save him
What else are they gonna do? The smartest decision was accepting there was nothing else to do. Johnny Quick just tried to run away knowing there was no escape anyways. How does that make him the smartest? It’s quite the opposite, because it would mean he was the only one that didn’t realize they were doomed. Media literacy is dead and its gone from funny to just kind of sad.
to me it seemedlike Johnny quick was a villian cuz of the people around him. so when he asks Barry about his world he seemed content with his fate that maybe somwhere out there is a good version of him exists and is a hero.
I find it interesting how Superwoman kinda just gave up at the end there, realizing the futility of it all and decided to just let it happen. Wonder Woman would never stop fighting.
I get the impression that this crime syndicate was suffering from boredom. As Ultraman said, they had nothing else to do, maybe even robbing the bank at the beginning was a theater that they created to feel something and Superwoman probably suffered apathy.... it wasn't until Flash arrived that he injected some blood into everyone's veins. When they saw that the wave could not be stopped with conventional means, they knew it was the end. Superwoman, Batman and Johnny didn't give up or let themselves be killed, they were just tired
Y'know, when the Monitor said that the Anti-Matter wave always starts at the Earths of different universes, I wonder if evacuating those Earths to another planet within the universe would've spared them more time. I assume once all the Earths were destroyed, so too would be the rest of their universes.
Can you imagine the logistics to pull a worldly evacuation off?, it is hard to evacuate a building, even more a city in cases of extreme disasters, now, consider this on a waaaay larger scale, it stops being just a matter of intelect and resources, it becomes time consuming, exausthing for all of those involved, probably it could be pulled off, but at the end?, might generating triple if not quadriple the problems. All of those people that lost their earth?, their home?, bank accounts?, belongings?, memories?, yeah, they are now on another planet with possibily duplicates of them that aren't them and have different lifes, believes and many more. Anarchy might begin, a new spree of villains showing up on this world, It, would, be, Chaos. Now, lets say that for this matter, they take an 'undeveloped' earth, an earth that human life never came and it is all there for the taking, all the resources at 100%, the clean air of any trace of polution ; We are still talking about accomodating (2*X) billion people of our modern worlds into that place. What happens for those that need medication?, you cannot medicate all, it would be impossible, there would be no resources for everyone that needs it. Also, adapting back to the bronze-iron age?, with this numbers?, it would be hell on earth, but doable. At the end, it could be a good thing, because i'm sure that 1/4 of all the humans brough would die on the first month, this would at least give the rest more resources. [They would die of lack of medication, exploring new fauna and flora that they never saw before or simple, diseases that cannot be treated because they are from another, totally new stream of evolution], but the rest of the humanity could and would adapt, even with this absurd numbers [After all, the count of 2 billion per earth is very wrong, but i have to consider that probably this is the bare minimun in some earths, probably and they can easily surpass 10 billion depending on the tech of the earth] Sooooo, yeah... TLDR : Don't think that it is a good idea, but it could be a good story.
The thing is, at best, you would get maybe a city's worth of people to safety in time. The reason being that people may be smart, but in groups, they are prone to groupthink and collective stupidity and stubborness. Let's say you see the wave coming and know that it is two planets away from the world you are trying to save (not your homeworld). You would have to get there via teleportation if you want to have any meaningful impact, and then have the task of convincing the population that what you are saying isn't total BS and do so on a global scale, likely through utilizing broadcasting networks. Next comes choosing and creating an evacuation site, let's say teleportation pad(s) so you either set up a massive single one or multiple smaller ones. Problem solved right? Yes, but the next problem is how many can they take at a time? Dozens per teleport, or hundreds, thousands if it is big enough? Let's say thousands, but people can't take anything but the clothes on their back, how do you convince people to part with all they've worked for upto now? How do you stop the inevatible conflict that arises at the entrance when the less-morally-good folks or even supervillains show up - will you teleport an evil joker to safety if he promises to stay on good behaviour? How do you stop criminal eements from trying to pull one last heist by taking over the towers and charging people for "safe passage" to another world, and even if you can, will the heroes of your world accept having to manage them on the other side?
I think the reason Evil Flash was so different from the others on Earth 3 is that he's characteristically built like the Flash's own Rouge's Gallery, who aren't really evil, just greedy.
A wall of light consuming all matter that spans across the world. Crime Syndicate Members, except Johnny: “Aight imma throw some cars, make some buildings, punch it with my bare hands, and try to detonate a nuke at it.” At least Owlman’s idea isn’t as far-fetched as the rest of them.
Owl man’s idea is still kind of the same, but it has some proper range and power behind it compared to the other’s. Flying his plane into it however not the best idea. I’m sure he could have had more nukes than the ones on that one plane. Probably would have still been useless, but it at least would give him more time to throw more power at the anti-matter wall.
@@HusKrWolf I reckon you’re continuing to miss the point. I’m so curious as to what its like to go through life consuming media while completely lacking even the most basic media literacy.
Launching missiles, punching and throwing mere vehicles at an advancing anti matter wall that can disintegrate anything in its path? Even if had thrown my logic out the window I wouldn't do that as a superhero, I would run 😂😂😂
@@Raximus3000They can’t. Flash asked Johnny quick to come *with* him, because he was also a speedster and might be able to make the run with him. The others don’t have the speedforce. How do you expect them to run with Flash? You think Owlman can run between earths? Lmfao
@@Raximus3000 How? How do you know they could of? “They could of made smthn” obviously not lmfao. “Hold on guys, can you ask the antimatter wall *really* nicely to stop consuming our reality for a few months while I go do some R&D?” Crazy ironic how the people calling the crime syndicate dumb are the ones struggling to find two braincells to rub together.
You know I actually do love it when super smart characters like owl man here agree that often the most blunt thing to do is the best thing to do. I hate it when the super smart characters always try to complicate the situation even more
I do admit I gotta give the Tomorrowverse credit in doing their own take on Crisis on infinite earths even know it felt a little early to do the story well the comic counterpart worked more due to years of story building and the fact Kids growing up at the time in the 80's had to read the story seeing it as their own Avengers Endgame storyline and the fact we Got Superboy-prime out of it as well
Actually he was the dumbest. He ran away knowing there wasn’t enough Speed Force energy, and it resulted in him getting hit in the face with rocks, impaled, and smashed by a car. The others knew they would die no matter what, there was no escape, they just wanted to die fighting.
@@YesOh-vf2bs no, it was a plot point, they couldn’t travel to the other universe because they didn’t have enough power. With the both of them there, they were using too much, they didn’t have enough to both make the jump.
Say whatever you say from thid kvoir, but this must be my favourite Crime Syndicate so far Even though they're villains, they try to save their world even though they know there's literally no hope left. Its sad that Johnny Quick died knowing he could've been something different, something better in another world
@@motodin4210 He's a nihilist. If someone gets into his plane, figures out the code, and blows it up, it doesn't matter as he can make a new one. Or if it blows up with him in it, oh well that's life. The plane isn't all that valuable to him either. Also if someone gets the drop on him he figures he doesn't deserve to live.
Superwoman, Owlman and Johnny didn't give up or let themselves be killed, they were just tired
This just happened in front of them and they had no plan or device to stop it. The only options left are to A. Give up and wait for death B. Run away to no avail Or C. Try literally anything and die swinging. Yeah it wasn’t the best ideas, but with only super strength, super speed, and weapons being their only options what else were they to do?
For those of you who said "Owl man didn't say "this doesn't matter " obviously didn't read between the lines, batman would of given eveything and then some, but Owl man after knowing already what Barry told him AND after seeing how his missiles were ineffective he Immediately started to activate his last plan the 'It doesn't matter plan' and its a testament to his catchphrase because he definitely knows it doesn't matter since you can see zero hesitation at him activating a NUKE self destruction switch, I never seen someone who in movies not care about activating a Nuke, they stammer or maybe hesitate while hitting the button with a tear or some b.s but Owlmans actions were so fluid it's as he was hitting a light switch in his room 😂 batman would of definitely rather die than that option. And this is exactly why i love Owlman and am such a big fan of him more than batman I realize and after seeing this fresh clip it proves to me what he believes is true nothing matters in the end.
I hate it whenever DC talks about the Speed force as if it's a limited supply that a single guy could hog. You never hear about people hogging time or gravity. It's always used as contrivance to nerf speedsters because speedsters are broken as hell.
Except the speed force isn’t real and as far as the comics go you hog jog the speed force lmao. What are you complaining about? The fact a fictional property doesn’t obey the physics of very different things that actually exist lol. Certain users taking up more or less of the speed for isn’t new nor is it inconsistent. Also objects “hog” gravity literally all the time lmao. Did you pass third grade. You as an individual have some pull against other objects on earth, but the earth “hogs” all the gravity around it that people don’t get pulled toward you.
@@dmoneyswagg64except you do not "hog" gravity. You passively produce it relative to your density and size and whoever has the greater pull is just the equivalent of a weak magner vs a strong magnet The speed force hogging thing has and always was kinda hokey and dumb, speed force does everything and does nothing all at once. Quit sucking the rod in this one. People can have criticisms.
@@dmoneyswagg64applying real world science to fiction doesn't really make a person smart or even sound smart. im not one to judge but you sound like those people on r/atheism
A lot of people are saying it would’ve been cooler if Owlman had said “It doesn’t matter” before his death but I think that kinda goes against his character here. If he truly believed that, instead of flying into the antimatter wall in a “stupid, useless gesture” he would’ve just stood where he was and waited for it to kill him
I want a Universe where there is a Good Guy Owlman, who teams up with Batman to defeat Bad guy Batman, who also teamed with an Evil Owlman. I think it would be interesting.
The best part is, Owlman is actually Thomas Jr, Batman's brother. And yet, we barely had interactions between the two of them. In Crisis on Two Earths they didn't even know who they where under the mask.
Love how Supewoman sees the AM wall literally vaporize buildings and she thinks throwing some fucking CARS at it is going to do something. Hell, smart as Owlman is, he thought shooting it with missiles was going to do something. The crime syndicate is full of idiots XD
It was a situation that just happened to them, with no opportunity to prepare for it. Their only options were to try anything or to just sit on their butts and just wait to die
youre right, i think they meant as in "were both using it up right now so there isnt enough for both of us to make the jump at the same time" he probbaly could had stopped. let barry go through and then speed after him. but with the barrier right there, there really wasnt enough time.
There is a level of respect to them knowing wlthat they weren't going to do jack squat but still went out like they did. Also her throwing cars was hilarious
Imagine Captain Planet,Freakazoid,Danny Phantom,Ben 10, Generator Rex,Power Puff Girls,Invincible (Mark Grayson) Aang,Korra and XJ9(My Life as a Teenager Robot) where in Crisis!
