just coming back to say thank you, i didn't watch this video because i'm already done with my essays and apps but from august-november you have been my main source of amazing tips, information, and examples. i don't know where i would be without your videos and articles. ngl it was kind of a dark time that i don't wanna go through again but i'm incredibly grateful to you for being the light in that time. i normally don't comment on youtube, but you, my good sir, 100% deserve it. Yknow, trying to come up with an essay idea has really helped me realize something. I have had possibly the single most generic and uneventful life of anyone on earth. There is absolutely nothing whatsoever about my life that is unique or special in any way.

Could the thematic thread be your identity, your future career, things you've learned from others, places/circumstances where you feel at home, to name a few? These have come up pretty commonly as themes/topics for our students. Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot for your help! This has helped me write some of the UC prompts. I was wondering how you would go about prompt 8 for the UCs. I have been trying to figure it out for a while but am not getting a clear picture. Should I talk about my background, interests, volunteering, etc.?

Hey i am an Indian student from a remote area. i am not exposed to Sat or ap courses. I applied to harvard via test optional will i get rejected ( I have 95% score for all final exams from 9 to 12 grade)

I'm not sure if you'll get rejected! If they have a test-optional application option, choosing to apply without submitting test scores will not work against you.

what if the thing i am taking initiative on is something still ongoing? as in the problem hasn't been solved

It's typically pretty tough to write (your college essays) about a challenge that you're still actively overcoming. It can be done, though! Try brainstorming/outlining some content for it and see if it works for you!
