These VPN businesses are insane. I know a guy who runs a VPN affiliate site. Almost an 8 fig company with 90% margins. The secret? He has been doing it for almost 10 yrs.
Australian Psychologist here, happy to partner with someone on that 'Personality Test' idea if anyone can take lead with the coding etc. Sounds like a business I could sink my teeth into.
This episode is so cringe. Being a former CIA officer/analyst is not a flex for someone wanting to be in office for the ppl… cmon George bush sr!!?! So typical
Because people are busy in watching fancy startup shows like Gary vee or Andrew tate or they are just watching football and making their careers like it😂😂
@@Brodragon2225 We are in the era of 'Attractive Illusions' ... the real work is rough and requires work and refinement. This podcast digs into the WORK and that why I keep coming back.💪🏾
Coogan doesn’t seem to understand that not every entrepreneur has the same goals and desires he has and not all the greatest positive impact on humanity comes from businesses.
I wonder if hes got that mindset because he took on so much vc, sold at a loss. And now has to do something big to redeem himself. Def need people who think like this thhough!
According to Linus he was offered ~100m for his entire brand/associated channels. Huge creator and an impressive business, yet still unknown to a degree. That makes RU-vid/internet business so fascinating to me.
Why is carrying a gun ‘crazy’? In crime ridden cities it would be very logical to carry. Why are Sam and Shaan so scared of guns? Don’t make sense, very weird, they are like adult sized children. Generally love the show but then there is this very illogical, weird, immature behavior.
46:03 I don't like Elon Musk, but I do actually believe he was thinking about space when he was doing PayPal. Jeff Bezos made a speech about space when he was valedictorian at his high school. These guys are ambitious with a capital A.
One thing on the size of company and impact -> this implies there isn't a premium on control for the entrepreneur. Looking at the longer term history of major founders, maintaining control was a huge part of their strategy. Maybe there's an angle around modern VS being more aligned with the idea of the founder/CEO. However, the vision of many real titans seems to be longer than the investment time horizon of VC investment (think James Dyson).
2 - Thinking about Rome is small boy stuff...thinking about Mary Beard is Trillionaire thinking. Sam, check out Emperor of Rome: Ruling the Ancient Roman World (October 24, 2023).
forgot about soylent,i remember they had this effective ad campaign "soyboy" with a white male with a wide expression wanting to drink it. Couldn't browse SM without seeing it everywhere
I'm glad Sam made the point that a lifestyle biz can free you and your time, so that you can then pursue moonshot ideas for the rest of your life. That's spot-on. Lifestyle biz ftw! At least til you are financially free
ohh so he met co-founder in preschool I get it. So how do I reconnect with the people I went to preschool with? I don't want to start my schooling over again...
Solid guest and a perfect fit. It's like he's one of the boys and love the fact he put down the "lifestyle business" point just to get you guys going and have something to chop it up about.
