Be very careful purchasing these. Example, don't change the type from the original too much or you will be in for a shock. I put hybrids on HD280 Pro's and the sound changed so poorly (zero bass whatsoever) because they are air-ee. So I should have gone leather or pleather (air tight). If you are using airee headphones then purchase another velour or beathable cups.

I got the velour one's from Geekria on amazon for my HD 280 Pro. Had these headphones for 2 years, using them pretty much every day for may hours at a time, so i'm pretty used to what they sound. I put the pads on, play a song that i listen often, and ohhhh boyyy... I litteraly listened to the song for 1 minute and decided to take them off. The bass was so weak it was terrible... They were really comfortable though! So yeah i just ordered the sheepskin pads to see how they are. Worst case i'm sending them back too and ordering original 280 pads!

@@xJM1993 the original pads are so cheap rubbish. Get the velour ones and stay away from velvet fabric type.

@@JeffBourke the orignal one aren't so bad honnestly! But they definetly crumple a lot over the years and get less comfortable over time. I hope the sheepskin are good

Can't say that Brainwavz Pads behave the exact same but Dekoni Earpads has the same types of pads (e.G Hybrid, Velour, etc) and they have frequency graphs for all of them on their website so you can get a general idea of how they behave.

Just looking at the full velor earpads made my ears hot. For some reason most cloths makes my ears hotter, and some even itchy/irritated. And I live in a hot and humid environment. And I've tried sport fabric and silk, one its itchy and the other it's cold to the touch at first but heat up quickly compare to good leather. And also become itchy with time. I'm considering trying the perforated leather. Or just go with the sheep leather that almost certain will feel good.

The sheepskin that fit the HyperX headsets aren’t 100% leather, only the panel that touches your head. How does that affect comfort and sound?

i'm in the same situation, if i had to guess, i'd say the sheepskin is maybe a bit thicker material-wise, so makes for a more air tight sound experience

I wanted to see the backside of these because I have pads similar to the style of these from my razer naris that I experimented with and pulled off and was surprisingly able to slide onto the earpad plate for my gen4 astro a50s. Amazing review. Debating on working with these to do a custom form fit for gaming.

I recently just got a pair of Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones. I really love the sound because I haven't tried anything as high quality before. I do have one problem though, the earpads are way to tight and it feels like a vice on my head. Is there any earpads that would resolve this issue to make it more comfortable to where them for long sessions?

The hybrid are airee. They are don't create a seal. They are nice but should not be used on closed headphones.

I am considering buying the meze Classic headphones after Christmas. I have a large head and big ears, so I want a deep pair of EarPads that will be comfortable, like my nose quiet comfort 35's! I am considering buying the shure's 1540s , the campfire audio cascades, or the brainwaves hm5s! What do you think would be the best fit?

Although I don't own that pair, I do have my HD598 which is also an open back and uses velour, I would have to say it will most likely reduce the sound stage if you add leather ones, although they are my fav. The velour ones should keep the sound stage as it was stock, or close to it. Hope this helps

Bain wavez lx velour earpads will help with the soundstage when i get my hands on the audio technica ad500x i will show what are the best earpads to and I will make the soundstage the biggest with the my ears pads and What leather earpads that keep the soundstage with out Ruining the sound too much

Which ones have the best noise cancelling and is comfortable for long gaming sessions + the noise canselling is for when I travel in the car so it must be strong enough, I gonna buy a hyperx cloud alpha next week
