How are you so lucky to FINGER PRESS those pistons in? I gave up , padded some wood with a shop rag to protect fresh powdercoat, and used a C clamp to press it in.
Hey I was wondering if you recommend locktite on the caliper/pad thin metal spacer/aligners? Not sure what they are called. I did my brakes and one of those thin pieces of metal behind the pad seems to have moved a little out of it's correct place. lol I am new at this, can you solve the mystery for me? Thank you for this video, your video inspired me to paint my calipers too!! They look great, now it's time to get them working right!!
The ones that go on the back of the pad? Use CRC Disk Brake Quiet. I put a little on the pad shims side that faces the pad, and then put it on the pad and as the instructions say let it dry for 5-10 minutes. A light coat on the side that faces the piston is good too. Once dry it will remind you of silicone gasket maker, the shim won't go anywhere and also won't make noise. If you're talking about the pad spring that goes into the caliper above the pads they should snap into place if they're oriented correctly.
Unfortunately no, they were unlabeled samples that came with the kits. Perhaps you could reach out to BrakeCrafters? If not, I have a lot of them from buying so many kits. If you're in the states I'd be happy to send you one in the mail
@@DustyDingus Thank you brother your so kind. I just figured out that it comes with the rebuild kit. Thanks for the offer though!! Are you happy so far with this kit?
