With this short video I intend to show you how simple it is to replace brake pads on your own scooter because I have seen lots of confusion in community groups related to these models on how to actually perform the brake pad replacement procedure. TLDR of it is:
1. Unscrew the brake pad from the mount to have full access to the bottom side of the caliper and more working space,
2. Remove the pad away from the brake lever first and then the remaining one and the spring afterwards,
3. Put in a new brake pad on the side of the brake lever along side the spring, compress the spring and put in the other one till they both click into place
4. Make sure everything is seated properly,
5. Put the caliper back on the scooter and do the required adjustments for it to not touch the brake disc and brake properly.

Hi. Can you please give me a few answers? Do you know what tipe of original braking pads are? Metal, Resin, Organics...? And second one, which hydraulic brakes you use now, and which model you have? I gave KuKirin G2 Pro. This one have 8.5' tires, but G2 max 10'. Thnx, and have a nice day.

I would assume that the stock pads are resin, I have replaced brakes to XOD, i forgot the exact model but you can easily find kits on aliexpress nowdays though im not sure if you really need brakes like that on G2 pro. They are way harder to maintain if something goes bad so you trade ease of maintenance for convenience of not having to adjust mechanical brakes. The main problem would probably be intrefernce between the motor/tire in your case but I havent seen many G2 pro users with hydraulic brakes.

Where do I buy the specific brake pads for the g2 max? Mine are running low and I don’t know how to find them

You can just look for "BB8 brake pads" on AliExpress or Amazon , there should be plenty of options

@@simasisuppose do you have any recommendations? I would rather be safe then sorry if I mess it up, also are there ceramic ones?

@@ghst3352 I do not have any recommendations because I've replaced original brakes with hydraulic ones quite early on. For brake pads it's trial and error or reviews on the store platforms they are sold at

Same for G2 Master?

Most likely not, from what I saw it uses quite a bit bigger calipers with standard shimano brake pads. pads on that model should just simply pull out trough the bottom of the caliper after taking it off.
