This is definitely the most amazing car model released by Giant. I have been riding COLNAGO all the time, and I tried the new propel at the test ride. I can assure you that the combination of new propel & CADEX 50 Ultra gives you the light pedaling and acceleration feeling ~ you will definitely fall in love with it!

Former rider & since pro mechanic. Unfortunately this is the kind of marketing b.s the consumers get fed by most manufacturers & because they know many people suck in to it. On this particular point, it's been said & tested for many years that teardrop shaped rear areas are the most aero & drag efficient, now all of a sudden it's not & flat is the way to go. I'm particularly disappointed in GIANT stating these claims & unusually following the marketing b.s of many other brands, especially as they're my favoured brand for quality & value. Use your common sense before buying anything these days & note this... A high level rider will still perform at the highlevel on a 20yr old bike. A low level rider will still perform at a low level on the most expensive & lightest current bike. 'You' the engine first.

But for literally 99% of cyclists, that’s not the most important thing. For most of us who cycle as a hobby as opposed to it as a career, we don’t ride for performance. We cycle because it allows us to play with our toy (the bicycle). It’s way more fun to cycle on a new toy, than some ancient relic from the last Millenia. Any non TDF cyclist who buys and upgrades purely for calculated performance (claiming modern bikes ar marketing BS etc) is nothing short of a hypocrite; pretending to be a pro when they clearly are anything but.

Teardrop (or airfoil) is only best if the angle of attack is zero. As the angle increases, drag increases more with airfoil than with truncated airfoil. On average, truncated airfoil shows lower coefficient of drag when subject to various angles of attack. There's no damn difference. Yea, sure, slightly different road feel between frame materials but speed on flats? Descents? Climbing? All the same. The aluminium bike has no single part considered as "aero". I need exactly the same power to maintain 24-25 mph when in front of the group as on my aero super-duper expensive latest trend bike I was riding before. These prices for some minor changes and pure snobbery noone needs actually are pure evil.

Why add in "without pedals"? No real bike comes with pedals. What pedals should it come with? There are different ones and people have preferences. Why would they spec pedals that a lot of people would replace? Not to mention it would be a waste. Pedals last a long time. My Dura-Ace pedals are several years old and on a 2nd bike. If my bike came with 105 pedals or Look, they would have been tossed.

Can someone tell me about this kind of wheels? I mean, hookless tubeless tech... I have read some info but I don't see it clear: I usually ride at 8,5bar and it's hard to me to see 6bar pressure. What's the 6bar equivalent in tube technology? Would I feel a loss in terms of speed? I don't mind the comfort while riding, when I ride I like to go fast and to do fast sprints, this is how I enjoy riding my bike, so based on this... would you say 6bar tubeless in hookless wheel is more less the same as 8,5bar with tube? Thanks.

For a given width and depth ratio in a profile, a truncated airfoil is certainly the fastest shape. If you curve the airfoil towards a point at the back of a 4:1 ratio profile, the airflow will prematurely separate.

@@dee-vee not exactly. Teardrop is lower drag at low angles, but not necessarily only at 0 incidence. Typical aircraft cruise at nonzero angle of attack (sub 5 degrees), but they still are all cruise optimized full airfoils.

This bike was really easy to assemble ru-vid.comUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
