2:50 one use case of having something plugged in in the bed is a portable fridge/freezer (a Dometic for example). We do this all the time to go camping/fishing. Keep the food cool going there, and then have your catch frozen by the time you get home.
I’m happy with my 22 ram rebel, i custom ordered it to have everything the limited had and am definitely not buying another truck with these crazy prices….. until I get extremely wealthy I’ll get more lol
From 1976 through 2010 I was a loyal Dodge-Dodge Ram owner. I owned four Power Wagons and four Dodge Rams of various model years, trims, engines sizes, and transmissions. All were top notch trucks no major issues with any of them. I stopped buying them in 2010 and changed to Toyota mostly because of price. Today IMO they have completely lost their appeal due to price, dropping the V8, and the transmission selector. But so has Toyota for most of the same reasons. I'm just glad I am not in the market for a new truck at this point because I am not sure what I would buy.
@The21Marine the ram starts in the 40s, it's still affordable. The journalist is driving one trim, the luxury trim, if you can live without the features, these type of trucks are extremely customizable to get to the price you can afford
@@paulm6481what tf is tour problem, let the guy speak what ever fcking language he wants to speak, if your a smart ass🤓 (give me three reason why he cant speak arabic).
I love these people that believe sticker price is what they actually pay for a vehicle. No one pays sticker. You can get up to $20K off if you wait for incentives and dealer move out inventory timelines. Keep your eyes on the internet for the best dealer that is known in the country or at least in your area.
Beautiful truck. Well done on the review. After options, TTL, GAP, Ext Warranties, and whatever else the dealers can add on, this truck will likely be over $100k. That is laughable. This is still a half ton pickup that will likely not be used for truck purposes. I see people keeping this in their garage and using an older truck or a rental so not to take a chance in messing this one up. Of course there are people out there who can afford it. No sour grapes from me on that, but are those people in the market for a pick up truck over some luxury SUV or European counterparts? I am not a fan of smaller engines with a turbo attached to match the output of a n/a V8 or diesel. If you can afford the payments on a vehicle of this price, does a few mpg really matter as well as knowing your engine will likely last the lifetime of your ownership of the vehicle?
NO,it will sound like a 1997 Honda Civic with a fart can..seriously no 6 cyl ever sounds like a V8,they cant..Best thing to do with a 6 cyl is to get an extra quiet muffler... This engine was out for over 1 year in the Jeep Wagoneer and they sound bad, just like a Honda 4 cyl best to keep them quiet..I drove 1,200 miles in the 3.0 and the high output 3.0 and they sound BAD! the 5.7 and 6.4 in them sounded mean and relaxing to even drive the speed limit and take off slowly its a nice sound, the 6 sounds aweful..I drove all 4 versions.. Dodge had a Drag Pack Challenger with the Hurricane 6 cyl with performance mufflers its on you tube and it sounds bad as I told you..
I'm still driving my 2009 Ram 1500 Sport Crew Cab that I bought new for $24K. I refused to pay $60K for a new truck. I certainly am not going to pay $90K. This is total insanity, The manufacturers are in big trouble.
My truck the window was fixed.under warranty. Now it needs to be replaced again under warranty! Parts are currently back ordered. So my comment is saying Ram's quality control on this issue sucks. They won't ever get people to spend big bucks on another truck with known problems. Also without the warranty the job costs $1700 to replace the window at the dealer.@@onthethrottle7104
Semi's are running 6-cylinder turbo diesel...... It has the power unless you need a heavier frame. i have an f250 and will be getting this probably next year...im tired of all the Ford problems but i also want a more luxury truck. I will have to see if a 5" lift can be installed without nullifying any warranty
I got a question you got that badge on the back of the seat you got that badge on the armrest do the stuff burn you when the sun get really hot inside of the car you gotta think about that metal will burn your arm
No it depends on the trim and packaged of the truck. I always drive Chevrolet Silverado’s and they stopped including them as stock in 2007 for one reason or another, However all my trucks i purchase is the LTZ Trim one of the luxury silverado trims with tow hook in the packed.
Great features & stuff but not sure how reliable the new engine & turbos are & all those electric features just means more potential issues. And that price…..
That's a good one! I've ridden in the RAM air suspension truck and it's crazy good! Other trucks will be going to this set up as they all have air suspension in all of their test mules.
This is such a MISTAKE !, price will be $80,000 plus and Ram dealers lots are full of of $60,000 trucks they cant sell. How about focusing on the basics for the 1/2 ton market and prices we can all afford
Citreon now as Stellantis owns them...Last of the real Chrysler was the HEMI V8,now RAM can r.i.p I am a Mopar restorer, collector and spent over $2,000,000 the last 20 years in new Dodge,RAM Hemi vehicles...I will keep my classic 60's-70's Chrysler products obviously and the current HEMI powered rides..2025 and up RAM can die,I am gone!
This people don’t get it. They think we are all stupid. They have 2023 in the lots for been overpriced, they are not selling the 2024 and now this 8 new trim. I am not buying until they lower the prices I only hope more people can wait like me. They all abused us during the pandemic, and now they are paying the consequences.
Just look at all these negative comments! 😂 These paid reviewers cant say enough wonderful things about these depreciation-machines to make (logical) people consider spending house $$ for a 1/2ton! $90,000 for a 1400lb payload-capacity and a maxed-out 6cyl ticking-time-bomb! I wouldnt pay $40,000 for this fiat stellantis whatevermobile, and yes I could afford that in ca$h. This crazy planet is headed straight for the Sun!
lol how far forward does she need to have the driver seat ! Does she know what an airbag can do ? Your elbows aren’t supposed to be able to rest on the steering wheel . 😅
This is one sweet truck. And for all you people that think anyone pays sticker price, wake up. No one pays sticker so wait and look for manufacturer incentives and dealer specials, if you time it just right you can get about $20K off of the sticker price.
I dont like the body lines. Stop focusing on the interior and maje some big changes to the exterior look. I want it beefy and mean...youthful, not an old mans truck
@velboone6041 everyone who buys this truck is broke, but ram knows it can always sucker buyers no matter the price. Hence the yearly price increase of 20%.
$87K for that truck is just obscene , I just purchased a 24 Toyota Tundra limited Crewmax, super nice interior, killer seats, panoramic moonroof, JBL sound, 14” infotainment screen , V6 twin turbo 389 HP, 457 lb/ ft torque,,,,, $64K
That's not terribly priced for what you have, but for $1k/mo+ I refuse to drive something so offensibly ugly. Even this ram has a pretty boring look, but is otherwise a great product. Top looking trucks of 2023 Ford Superduty, 2023 GMC Sierra Denali 2500+. The GMC Sierra EV is probably the best of all however, if you can stomach an EV
The inverter doesn't work while in motion with the Hurricane motor? God that is going to be a FRUSTRATING discovery for so many buyers. I cant wait for the forum threads.
Ram lots are full. How can we change this. I know. Lets make even more expensive useless trucks with minimum payload and no towing. That way they will sit for sure
The outgoing HEMI has more power! 702 hp they made form the HEMI so how is this 6cyl more power than that? 702 hp 6.2 Supercharged Hemi was top dog more than the 3.0 Twin Turbo..my RAM TRX has 702 hp! You are comparing a limited engine offering and not the most popular version and the H.O 3.0 is only offered on top trim.. The 5.7 Hemi was the go to engine so the non h.o version of the turbo 6 is compared to the HEMI..already used in the Jeep.. Already in the Jeep Wagoneer proved the 3.0 isnt better than the HEMI (I put 1200 miles on all 4 engine offerings 5.7 HEMI , 6.4 HEMI ,3.0 and 3.0 high output. The 5.7 and the 3.0 gas mileage is the same! I even had better gas mileage from the 5.7 Hemi..yested in a Jeep Wagoneer... In the Jeep the 6.4 Hemi (not used in trucks) ran 5-60 mph quicker and passing power was quicker and 1/4 mile speed was faster than the H.O 3.0,there is a reason RAM jumped the power up from 510 to 540 hp as the 392 would smack it in a race..Albeit the 392 was never used in the RAM 1500 (heavy duty trucks used a non high performance 6.4 less power than the high performance 6.4).. V8 will be missed and RAM should have kept it around for a large chunk of buyers..You will see strong initial sales then a downward fall, like the Dodge Hornet media praised it so some people ordered it then sales died...RAM owners are HEMI V8 fans as the brand made the HEMI a big deal for 20 years, now they crapped on its loyal buyers...I bought over $2,000,000 of Dodge,RAM HEMI V8 products in 20 years, now they crapped on me,I am gone! V8 or no new ride for me! Not everyone needs or wants the claim of being a tenth or 2 tenths quicker to 60 than a 5.7 Hemi (the 420 hp 3.0 probably will be about that)..So still basically side by side in a race on the street..I would assume RAM wants us to street race as reviewers all are braggibng as per paid by Stellantis to say hell with the HEMI,shows how ignorant reviewers and RAM is to its loyal owners.. Again I spent over $2,000,000 in Dodge and RAM HEMI V8 vehicles...I wont sell my current crop(never my real Mopar vehicles 60's and 70's Big Block beauties)..But I wont buy 6 cyl or electric dystopian rides! 4 and 6 cyl are for the Japanese and Europeans..North Americans prefer V8 engines...Ford went 6 cyl but mainly female buyers buy Fords..MEN want V8 gas trucks...Cummins Diesels are the ONLY inline 6 approved by MEN and Women who are vehicle fanatics!
Way too expensive and it really is only a truck by definition only but way too nice to even think about using it as a truck is designed to be used. Save yourself some money and buy a preowned truck with a top trim package. These manufacturers will in the end price their base truck buyers out of new trucks altogether. These minivan soccer mom pickups SMH
Not interested until they lose the "chrome". They need the night/black edition for those who aren't fans of chrome. I currenlty have a 2021 Ram 1500 Limited, all black. Will consider the Tungsten once they offer it blacked out.
I charge my electric bikes and power other stuff while driving my F-150 hybrid. I was excited to get the Ram, but what a huge let-down. Get rid of the Hemi totally is a horrible mistake.
B1den is really RAMming us with incredibly inflated prices for such low quality (fancy) crap. Sure I'm biased to yesterday's GM, but I can buy A C6 Corvette Z06, A C5 Z06, AND a C4 ZR1 (all highly-desirable Corvettes), and STILL have enough money left over for a cheap new car or great used car- for the price of this plummeting-in-value mom-mobile. If its about status, an old has-been Corvette would score higher than a stupid half-ton pickup with fauncy leather and designed-to-fail touch screen. What about that stripper model with a weak PantieStar V6 and unpainted plastic face costing $40,000!? That's as much as a loaded Duramax with Allison- crew cab, heated leather Chev 2500HD was back in early-mid 2000s. Those will outlive and certainly outwork these, even if they already have 400k miles! This is ridiculous, and that applies to ALL the current automobile companies!
