I really hope they focus on the models, animations, and game mechanics. In this genre it is crucial to nail those points. Anything else can be prioritized later.
Bruh, this game looks like a parody of PoT and DayOfDragons, but with animals. The guys have not even released the game yet, but have already planned several versions of the game for purchase and a bunch of donations. They will collect money from those who want to play as donate animals, for a couple of months they make the appearance of hard work and disappear with the money in the end. Not for the first time, really.
That's exactly what I thought, don't show anything of the game, only photos and beautiful "trailers", but you should donate, it's already Dlc's announced and there is already a merch... 🤔🤨
Honestly I know these models and animation, they are assets. This looks like a better asset flip... I can't understand the hype before I see some actual decent interactions. That wolf killing the other wolf in the end?? It looks like they have not even started on using anything but the default animations. Very skeptical here, would love to be proven wrong tho.
I will get both as they aren't the same from what it looks like the hunted will have more animals and primal earth for the map is good and will have more animals from the savannah
I wouldn't get your hopes up with Primal Earth. It's an asset flip that uses models and animations from the Unity store, similar to what this has so far.
@@SirKolassmost of primals earth models are public ones they bought and slightly edited along with the animations tho supposedly so I have much more respect for a game that makes it's model instead of editing premade ones also the fact primal earth has been in dev for 2-3 years for what I'm seeing is concerning
@@randominternetman-kb7vr- i’d much rather a game that’s taking a while to progress, compared to a game that said beta would be out in a few months (it wasn’t. so, lie one) with people that ACTUALLY know how to properly animate and add designs and fur, compared to those in the hunted. idk if you’ve seen the bear. but no bear moves like that, or washes in a river with aussie shampoo and looks that ridiculously shiny 🤷
Open Beta already in September? While I appreciate what they are doing, and with these animals we never seen in game like snakes, this to me at first sounds like quick cash grab. We had so many of these "games", forever in early access never actually fleshed out. And all this fur will melt our PCs. I'd avoid this until they really show some development done.
people have already fallen for it and have spent hundreds and hundreds on it, which i myself wouldn’t consider doing as i’ve witnessed the whole thing from start to finish. i heard the pitch and got excited. safe to say it’s died down after seeing the clips and videos. no offence to them. but my mind and hearts set on primal earth due to the realism, animations etc 💀
Open beta is not in september. Private beta is, and I wouldn't advise anyone to donate who doesn't believe in the project. The game is something I personally wanted for myself. So it will be made regardless of if we only had 5 supporters or 5,000. I understand your concerns and hope you see that everything we are doing is genuine. Hope to see you in game one day - Blip
really hoping this game isn't cancelled like the others... i've been waiting YEARS for such a beautiful game, but of course I hope they enjoy the process and the beauty of their creation
The only issue I see so far (and it's more personal) is the walking style of the Grizzly. Well, at least the grizzlies I've seen, don't walk quite like that. Hard to explain, but I think it's more how the hind legs move too aggressive like. If that makes any sense lol
@@rpcratatat68 I think you missed the part where I said the animals alone AND the jungle setting. PE can have all the biomes it wants I like the the animals in the hunted
Yeah, I’m hoping the animations are just place holders while they sort out the models. I’d appreciate more realistic animations. The models look great though.
Draconia, The Hunted, Primal Earth, Wings Of Dawn, all of these survival games are all early development can we get a game that's actually playable? lol
Draconia is already playable.... even tho it early doesn't mean it not have things we can play as. We have customization, survival, and able to play a few mythical creatures already in that game. Plus build dens, it def playable.
@@AngelCnderDreamer I mean Draconia is indeed... "playable" Customization, I guess there's some survival aspect to the game, Dragons that can be played, and a building system in its incremental stage other than that anyone who's been following Draconia will quickly realize there is no real game yet and is indeed still in early development and everything is subject to change in some capacity.
Yeah these guys are Day of Dragons round 2. Wanting way too much money way too early. Just another money grabber. Almost everything are pre bought/free assets, most are placeholders but they show them off in the discord like it’s something they made themselves and are proud of. Any game that’s planning DLCs before it has an actual basic game is just a big red flag. This game is full of red flags. They’ve been contacting high pop gaming discords and content creators offering all sorts of exclusive in game stuff for themselves and their admins if they advertise/partner with them, which, isn’t necessarily bad, but as a normal player goddamn is that irritating. The animations are terrible. That fur looks horrible. That snake needs work. If they’re placeholders then they shouldn’t be showing them off like it’s something they’ve made. Maybe it has potential but it’s probably just a money grabber.
Ahh Tripping... Its not good i reckon. The chance if losing a chase or your own life rng doesnt seem very fair to me. At least make it so theres certain obstacles that make you trip if you dont jump over them, like tree roots etc. Everything else however looks great. Hopefully this game blooms and we get to see it happening instead if dying off, like plenty other survival dino/animal sim games Edit: yikes prestige to get better skills? Doesnt sound good either. And dlc maps? I guess its good if the game is free cuz it needs noney but still, if it isnt that aint gonna be fun. I personally dont like how this looks too much, mechanic wise, i like the animals and such but it just doesn't seem like the game for me. Im sure some people would think differently to me and thats okay, everyone has their own opinions. Anyway, lets just hope this game makes it
Honestly, I wouldn't hold out hope for this game actually going anywhere. It seems like they're way overpromising. That's a crazy number of animals to be making into playables, and a crazy number of maps they'll need to hold that promise of animals not being in the incorrect environments. Especially on top of supposedly only offering a jungle to start with, with new maps being DLC? Absolutely wild to advertise it as a main selling point while also saying that players will have to pay *extra* to experience that feature at all. I would much rather see an animal realism game pick *one* spot on earth to be trying to replicate and just double down on that ecosystem and fleshing it out. Don't try to emulate the whole world, that's just too much work to ever expect a quality end product.
That's the same I always thought. At this point, in 2023, I think it's safe to say we learnt a thing or two about how these animal survival multiplayer games fail, and how people expectation are always disappointed by how the game is broken, unbalanced, forever stuck in alpha, toxic, with player abusing mechanics.. etc etc.. Why developers don't learn? Why don't they start with small things, and then, if they succeed, build on that? The best thing to do, and I agree with you, is to base the game on the smallest ecosystem possible: less choices, less mechanics, but well thought, well developed, and well balanced. If that works, then they can try to make it bigger. That would make sense. But no, in 2023, devs still seem to think that having some good looking models means you can immediately create an impossibly complicated game with absurd promises.
it’s been in production for MONTHS. was told, when pitched the idea alongside my path friends, that open beta would be available in the next month or two… yeah it didn’t. it’s not been pushed further till what? september i think? i was excited for the pitch. saw the images and models, and changed my mind. but yanno props to them for trying
The way the models look vs the animations seems way off, especially for the wolf. Plus all that fur will likely bog down performance. Hope the game delivers on its promises, but I'll wait to see.
Dude the anaconda no don't get me started on that thing. so many games like this now animalia, cenozoic era, the isle, PoT. BoB and more the silverback interests me. The snake animation is just off ya see why snakes are so hard to animate.
@@VelocciYT I feel snakes overall vs Dinos etc are pretty eh to even play. Snakes can only target 1 enemy at one time, so groups invalidate them. Let alone the largest snake would only be able to effectively hunt and eat small tier. Like with Isle largest thing that they might be able to eat is maybe a cerato if it's solo. xD But every other playable is designed for group play really like Omni would just shred a Titania.
this game looks really interesting and ill definitely be checking it out when its out but goddamn wish they picked a more creative name, there are like 6 different games named The Hunted
Bro primal earth looks way better than this these animal animations are stiff like a stick primal earth has more potential in my opinion I’m looking forward for primal earth
I hope they make certain animals unable to eat prey that's too small because I'm tired of snakes slithering up to elephants in games and somehow ripping chunks off to eat, same with blunt-beaked birds
Insert 1000th "OMG this game has so much potentiality" comment. Honestly, maybe my grandchildren will be able to see a decent, finished, balanced, non-toxic animal\dino game in their life. I truly hope they will.
Cool survival game idea, have AI babies, and if u manage to keep them safe long enough they become bigger and bigger so u could potentially build half an army of wolves etc xd could be cool.
And yet another game with paid for assets from TurboSquid that are unoptimized for games and were originally for films. I’m so tired of people making games that inevitably fail because they have no idea how to make them work, and think that “good lighting=good game”
Game looks good, but I'm really not sure how I feel about the other maps being DLC's... sincerely hope this isn't a scam game, but in this day and age you have to be wary
Pretty sure it’s just a money grabber. Almost everything they have are placeholders but they still show it off in the discord like it’s something they made. It’s always red flags when someone’s planning DLCs and in game paywall content before they even have a base game.
i love the idea of the trip mechanic despite how much of a bogus pain that'll be lol in this genre a lot of times the models feel like they slide around on the ground and don't seem to have proper physics with the terrain/objects. This can make the gameplay and especially combat feel very janky and often clunky. Hopefully the models themselves will have pretty good animations accurate to the animals as well (tho quadruped animations are already pretty ambitious to tackle). Overall my biggest concern is incomplete animal lineups for each biome - especially this genre so known for balance issues between its characters (idk how that will work with ppl importing their own animals)
"Animals from specific climates won't be interacting with those in others" Yeah ok, lowkey was gonna be literally 90% of the fun wacthing a polar bear fight a tiger or hippo. That would be a massive lost of opportunity right there, I wonder what their thoughts on mods are too xp.
Mmmmh, I am concerned over the animations of the canines being kinda bouncy. It is definitely possible for a dog to run like that, but full run of most animals means the spine bends noticeably. If their aim is actual realism, I expect these animals to move as they are supposed to, not just look the part. Once the game shows that their aim to be realistic is true and not a marketing thing I will think about it again. My hunch is that the spines don't have enough bones to properly fold the models.
why are you using vfx grace render models in the video, you're misleading your fans into thinking that's what the game models look like... they will never look like that in game. i hate dishonest youtubers
I like that they are doing it in diferent biomes, but there are rainforests in africa and south america, so your not going to see an okapi in south america, but it lives in jungles
Here is the video that I wanted to send you. There is a survival game on Roblox that will get recoded to a new level of high graphics so this is a creature looks like a spino I wanted to show you.
ELEPHANT IS GOING TO BE MY MAIN!!!! I'll still play as some of the other animals (Rhino, Gorilla, Bear, etc), but Elephant is going to be my main animal.
350 USD for a complete animal of your choosing? Animations, sounds, model and mechanics? Thats way too cheap. They will get flooded with those requests. But maybe thats what they are going for. I dont know rick....
I think is a GREAT idea. Graphic is not important for create a funny game and I think one thing very important to focus on is stamina, a snake or a lion don’t run all time, I understand can’t be totally realistic but in mean time see animals ,or in the other one with dinosaur, everything is running 100% all time. Animals have to choose correctly when spend energy. Maybe a snake could be like the snaiper of the game, waiting the prey and when is correct time baaam! Onother thing they could think about is, like Dead by Daylight, to don’t make easy for the prey to see their predator.
Unless it's on consoles I won't be playing. That's why Path of Titans is my favorite creature survival game right now, they're the only major open world game of this type I've seen that has cross compatibility and console access that a lot of these titles don't. I didn't have a PC that could support The Isle, POT is accessible and my top choice. I love these types of games, too, and hope to see more!
After Animalia survival and Artemishea/the cenozoic era, I have absolutely zero faith in this game. They are always halfassed dogshit games with models bought straight from the unreal engine shop.
Nah man why has it taken more than like 8 years somebody to make an actually engaging and fun multiplayer animal survival game? Like bro we got 3 really good dino games with great graphics, gameplay and community (the isle, beasts of bermuda, path of titans) that fit different playstyles n sh but the only animal games ive seen is animalia (like nobody plays it n the map is massive n its just overall difficult to find entertainment) and some random roblox games Man we gotta step it up somebody gotta make a dino game but with animals
