Big day at Brown Farms. This is the first time using the new grain system plus we get a brand new CaseIH 8250 combine to demo. Everything goes smoothly so dad and I get plenty of seat time in the 8250. This is a fully automated combine with Harvest Command so it was very cool to get to experience that.

Lexions are great machines and can eat wet corn up fast but the Axial Flow will give you a better sample lol so good to see you got a chance with the long running red rotor

14.5% corn, new combine ,new cart ,new leg ,new drier that's just about an over load of things to digest ,but funfunfun! All that auto settings in the combine is impressive if you get it dialed in ! I'm afraid I don't have much sympathy having to slow down because corn is over 245 !!!hahaha Have fun with all those toys ,brother is doing good job ,good straight man for the team!! Thanks for the video!! Going to football game now!

Hey Brian! You and your father sure looked good/comfortable in that 8250. The Welkers run nothing but Cash/IH and the Zach nothing but JD. You and your dad are willing to try a different brand of machinery, see how things run and then compare the Red with your Yellow Ochre (Claas). Gotta be open to new ideas, think outside the box, etc. It looks like your new leg/grain bin system is running good and I'm sure you're happy to be sending your corn right into the bin w/o drying it...WINNING! Good job with your videos - I farmed a few generations before you back with an old JD 45 - no cabs then. Great to see how technology has made life easier and much more productive. If you, can focus a little more on the the technology Integration - how yield mapping ties back to you planting, fertilizer, spraying decisions. I would think the equipment demos would work out well for both you and the manufacture. More free equipment exposure is better than none - a good indicator of dealer support. The demos should drive more visits to your site. Keep um coming .

you guys getting those shelling conditions we have in far west ky. Moisture getting low, get butt shelling and kernals flying around. Lot of times we have to slow the head speed down to keep the loss as low as we can get it. The driest I've ever shelled corn was in the 7's during the drought of 2007 of course yield was in the 30's. Most of the time the moisture is between 13 and 15 here while shelling corn. But that combine is pretty impressive for an international. lol

We have a Lexion 740TT and a CASE IH 7130= in corn Lexion a little better in wheat case in Benes overall we like the case more

Love your videos. Thank you for doing them, I've been following you for at least a year. I have noticed a lot of "green" between corn rows while you were testing out the Case IH combine. Do you guys Interseed between rows? I firmly believe in cover crops and interseeding….let nature help us out.

(didn't mean to call you out on the weeds) I don't personally have any investment into the farm (I just help) but my Dad has been doing Interseeding between corn rows for a few years....so far by partnering with UW Madison....there has been some pretty positive results. We are hoping to find a way to reduce synthetic N inputs...as well as herbicide inputs

It had auto steer but not row feelers which is what you need in corn

What, NO AUTOSTEAR, I thought you said it was fully automated? Of course the last combine I owned was a JD 7720 turbo. Only thing automated about it was the operator. ie: ME. Cheers...

How bad was it having that long auger and dumping on the go when you only had a single pass for the cart to be on? We’re ordering the same combine and no one seems to know if the next size smaller auger will work with a 45’ Draper. It’s like we will either be too short for the bean head or too long for the corn head and I was hoping to get your idea of maybe it’s just way too long for a 12 row. Thank you

How’s it compare to your 740 for capacity? Would you be going 4.5 to 5 with the claas in the same corn?

Yes we can but with the automated combines they will slow down to maintain the Grain performance where ours wouldn’t but might throw grain out

That’s impressive that the class 7 claas will do what it does. Your sample in the ih looks perfect, did you notice any difference in grinding and fines between the red and yours? Thanks for the videos
