Brian is a 4th generation farmer in southern Ohio who started this channel in 2018 with the intent to record and save memories from daily life and farm activities. It wasn't long before the channel evolved into primarily a farm vlogging channel as Brian discovered his passion for educating and sharing with people the daily ups and downs that farmers and their family's experience year to year. while this is mostly a farm channel from time to time we also post other things we enjoy doing such as hunting, hiking, and family activities.

Cheaper to pull heads with the combine, one less person, no expensive pickup, and the hitch is off set to left side, keeps it away from mailboxes easier than a pickup. And with steerable on both ends of the trailer no problems in tight quarters. Yupper
Nothing beats a good game of combine chicken…. Had that a couple of times in KS & MT this year 😀 in wheat Even had a dad vs daughter game - my X9 vs her Fendt 9t
In that low yield field, could chisel plowing it every couple years, and planting a cover crop help it any? Or would that cost more in fuel and time than its worth? Or would it NOT help at all? I know you do a lot of no till and some turbo till type of tillage. Up here in Mercer county, even along river bottom land my neighbor still chisel's the heck out of his fields every year. Some other neighbors do it every other or so.
If those are "paper wasps" (local term, large black and yellow) they can be vicious. I got surprised by a nest of those and had several stings that hurt like hell and took almost a year to heal. Take a few cans of wasp spray when you go up, wear leather gloves, goggles, mask and a hooded sweatshirt and soak them and and the nest. Hope you get your leg figured out, those problems can be difficult to fix.
As of today, September 27th 2024. The farmer Help has harvested around 150 acres of soy beans and WASH stopped by Equipment breakdowns and then rain and it looks like just about the time that it’s supposed to dry out, more rain is on the way to the hurricane hitting Florida. Might switch over and start corn harvest here but not in the rain. Usually my experience over the last three or four years has been that so Beans get started in late September and then started the first week of October so I think we are a little bit behind.
Really enjoyed this video on Fendt Ideal's 600 horsepower! If you're into this kind of content, you might also enjoy the City Guy In The Country RU-vid Channel. They offer a unique perspective on rural life and machinery. Definitely worth a look!
Grain cart operators is supposed to be watching everything on that combine as they roll up beside it. Or maybe that's just the way I roll. Thanks for sharing with us
