Apart from being able to download and assign a cycle to the washer, the rest of the remote capability seems like a gimic really. I mean, you can select the cycle when you put the laundry in the machine, and then delay start if needed. I really don't see the benefit of a washing machine being connected to your WiFi network. If it could change your bedding, gather your laundry, sort it, place it in the machine, add detergent, then maybe then a WiFi app and the connectivity might be of some benefit. But it does none of that. You still need to physically interact with the machine, so these functions are useless imo, and possibly more to go wrong. The LG machines ARE good machines apart from that though, and we'll built, according to a washer repair engineer on another video. He slated Samsung washers though, amongst others like Bush, Haier, Smeg, HiSense, Indes*it, and not surprisingly, Hoover too.

If it could do all that I’d be happy. I do like the notification when it’s finished and diagnosis of issues is handy, the rest is kinda gimmicky, like most of these smart appliance s

Be careful in the new series, the orange nozzle is removed and the turbo rinsing works very badly and poorly. when use turbowash use rinse +

Yeah, I noticed that compared to my older 12kg one, having the fine spray of fresh water was brilliant! This just doesn’t seem to get across the entire drum like the old one. 😥

You are true. We still use LG with orange spray jet above the drum (bought in 2016). I think it's better than this turbowash

I only set up the ThinQ app last week on my FH4U2TDN2S had to ring lg get them to talk me through it , it’s a bit of a pain in the bum but done it eventually only thing I don’t like about the app is 1 you got to press remote start every time it’s finishes to be able to use the app again to start another wash. And 2 you got to down load a new cycle to replace the last one you used on download program why can’t we have a load of download programs that you don’t have to re download every time you want a different cycle?? Apart from that I don’t mind it I just prefer to put on cottons or mix while I am stood there lol.

I’m thinking of getting the washer dryer combo. Looks really nice and modern and it’s one of very few silver decent machines. Bosch or Miele sadly don’t do silver, I mean Bosch does one but it’s not silver really

Yeah, the silver matching set will look nice, I’ve seen them online and the pair together look really good. As you said it’s hard to get the silver ones now as they go in and out of fashion, but I do like them.

Dude, do you know the secret menu on your washer to put in your service mode like I need technician with service the washer you need to put in that service we need to press turbo, wash option turbo the delay end option

Great video! One question, I have old and weak water pipes and I had a hisense machine that would add water by adding water on and off making my whole pipes clang. My hotpoint doesn’t do this but it’s on its last legs - hoping it just fills up with water constantly

Personally I’d recommend a Bosch, even though the new ones are not as good as previous models they had, but I mean like 15 years ago etc, I’d still recommend a Bosch, one with brushless motor and 9kg. Models without the auto dose and all the unnecessary gizmos are not worth it. Serie 8 WAX32MH9GB WiFi-enabled 9 kg 1600 Spin Washing Machine, take a look on Curry’s mate, but that’s what I recommend

You may as well if you can get the condenser Bosch, the heat pump dryers, the new ones of my last one I had, the self cleaning heat pump only lasted a few years because I couldn’t get access to clean the fins, if you look at my new Beko one, you’ll see I’ve bought the better pre condenser filter. I don’t know much about dryers I’m afraid.

Oh yes absolutely, the only thing I would say is that there are a number of cycles on the download that would be useful, but if you don’t want all the bits and bobs, just go for the 9kg with AIDD like I have, much more for your liking. Check out my LG playlist.
