Summer arranged and recorded her piano part, arranged the string part, contracted the string players, music directed the production, produced and edited the video (video recorded and directed by Adam Bialik Photography).

There's actually a term for that. It's called Frisson. Summer's music along with Brand New and Thrice regularly cause me to experience Frisson.

@@jackwithahat8601 thanks! And I actually have toured with Circa before as their keyboardist + keys+string arranger +string contractor back for a handful of stops on their 2017 fall headliner. I have a couple videos on my channel from that you might wanna check out :) I also released a collab album with Anthony Green (his solo work) a couple years back titled “Would You Still Be With Strings (ft. Summer Swee-Singh)”, where I basically took all of Anthony’s lead vocals from his 2018 album WYSBIL and composed new instrumentals around them (reharmonized/reorchestrated etc.).

Does anyone know why the piano doesn't have a sustain pedal?

It’s a random prop piano that came with the photo studio we rented to film the video, so was not in great shape and is insanely out of tune/ many keys don’t work/ the pedals are missing/ did not have a corresponding piano bench etc.; we’d already tracked the audio previously, so just like most other music videos, we were just miming in this video - not actually playing to record audio. :) Hope that answers your question!
