Damn that sucks. This griddle is a lot bigger than the Blackstone Camp Griddle. In my next video I will compare it to the Blackstone Camp Griddle and 22" griddle.
I'm down with that 👍👍👍 Stay tuned I will be putting out some more videos out showing this griddle at work. Cooking burgers up outside the bar would make a cool video. I might have to make that happen.
Very nice griddle Doug! Can't wait to see how it compares to the Blackstone and definitely how The Griddle holds up to food sticking. I'm sure it'll be fine Weber puts out a good product. Nice job , cheers brother 🍻
I have not used the Halo 1B but I have a Halo 4B. I would assume the 1B is probably just as good or better in build quality. The Weber is built great also but I think Halo makes a better hood that you can cook with whereas Webers is thin and states not to be used when cooking. The 1B has one burner that you can turn on the front half but no adjustment or you can have the whole burner on with full adjustment. The Weber has 2 burners so probably a little more flexibility in heat control. I would also assume the Halo will have a thicker griddle plate but Webers is pretty decent itself. I believe the 1B is a little smaller griddle top in size. I think you probably can't go wrong either way.
I expected more from the Weber Traveler griddle. I really wish it came mounted on a collapsible travel cart similar to the Weber Traveler Portable Gas Grill. Especially for the size of this griddle.
I'm kinda surprised it didn't come on the collapsible cart for $100 bucks more. I'm sure Weber will come out with a cart for it at sometime. I'm going to season mine tomorrow and test the even heat Weber claims on the griddle.
Thanks a lot! They didn’t make this when I bought my Weber Q2200. I had to pull the connector off and replace it with a quick connect to work with my RV.
I want to compare it to my 22" Blackstone and my Blackstone Camp Griddle. It is pretty solid unit. The lid is a bit flimsy but it's just made to be a cover and not meant to use when cooking. I do plan to use the lid for on thing in a upcoming video. I presume they made the lid as light as possible because this thing is pretty heavy overall. I think it's 50 something pounds. Stay tuned I will put it through some tests and see how it performs.
