Just leaving this comment. Branded could run grisaille prison. It is a normal trap (thrust can search it). If you have a tribute summoned, ritual summoned, or fusion summon monster, until the end of your opponents next end phase they cannot synchro or xyz summon, also their synchro and xyz monsters have their effects negated. Thanks to branded in red and cartisia you will have a fusion on board to tunnel lots of decks into fusion summoning or link summoning from the extra deck. Some synchro and xyz decks may have some link monsters but mirrorjade and guardian chimera can get rid of their monsters. Just a niche tech option.
Haha I recall that card being in my “tech choices” section of one of the YCS top cut breakdowns. Although I can’t remember which deck it was played in lmao
What advantage does it have over D-Barrier ? Because it seems inferior to that card in every conceivable way. You need to control a fusion , so if branded fusion gets ashed, thrusting into it is useless, and D-Barrier has wider coverage.
@@dissidiamaniac460 it lasts the same amount of time as d barrier, just until the end of your opponents turn, it’s not for 2 turns . D barrier is superior in every way.
Another nasty one is Chimera vs Talent. If the opponent activates Talent (take) and you chain BiR and fuse into Chimera, you (the summoning player) get to use Chimera's effect EVEN if your opponent now controls the card. When this ruling dispute comes up, you can point the Judge to the most recent ruling which is "Couple of Aces". Also, Unicorn summoned by IP and Construct by El Shaddoll were previously ruled that way. This isn't anything illegal, but a bit "scummy" since the opponent will likely take your Chimera thinking they will use its effect themselves. At least after that game, they will never forget this ruling. BTW i completely disagree on how this is ruled (but respect the official guidelines), just like the previously trigger-location/trap monsters before the Master Rule Revision 2020. I hope this will change in the future because it makes no sense to activate the effect of a card that the opponent has every right to use instead of you using a non-existent card.
The first combo was nib range sadly when u did cart, aluber, albion, granny, then albion. If i know im going to get past 4 summons ill hold cartesia for their turn to keep my puppet safe lol

hey hakuna what are your thoughts on alpha summon in age of overlord. its very simmilar to expulsion and with how heavy thrust is being played do you think its an intresting tech?
It would not trigger if Mirrorjade was returned to the extra deck. Although, if a fusion monster returned to the extra deck, then you could still trigger Aluber effect in grave at least
I’ve personally never been a fan of chimera lol but it’s certainly a strong deck right now. Hard to compare the two, I think Despia has the potential to be better but Chimera is the safer strategy
