I don't understand why you are going on about people affording smartphones. The criticism isn't about a smart phone... It's about a contracted phone plan. These aren't the same things. You can have smart phones without a contract, on prepaid plans. Think of metro pcs, boost mobile, cricket, certain TMobile plans, certain verizon plans, Xfinity mobile, etc. That actually cuts out *_a ton_* of people. If you are going to criticize these people and call them dumb - you should at least pay attention to what they are actually talking about and make sure you are criticizing the things they are actually saying.
Privileged =/= classist. It is a privilege to be able to buy into gaming but a classist would say it is good and natural only some can do so, and it is good and natural that they are the ones who can do so. It wouldn't be fair to call all gamers classist. Except for PC gamers. We are classist, it is an open secret. PC master race ftw, etc. etc. 😁
