Brandon McPhee Christmas Release 2023 “Merry Christmas Elvis',
this song was co written by Brandon and James McQueen who lives in Memphis. It was released on download/streaming on the 10th of November and climbed to no.17 in the iTunes Country Music Charts. Brandon being the only chart entry in the top 30 from outside the USA in the company of Taylor Swift, Luke Combs. Chris Stapleton etc. Great company to be amongst. Below is the history of the song -
“Merry Christmas Elvis, from all your fans tonight”
Fans of the King of Rock and Roll regard Graceland mansion as a special place
where the surroundings reflect the personality and, for some, of their idol - especially so at Christmas, with all the light and decoration, A time when Elvis Presley loved to be at home. It is easy to sense
his presence, but is it just one’s imagination?
“Elvis is immortal.” Perhaps most people would interpret this to mean his
music is timeless, his recorded performances enduring and still relevant to
audiences of every age. But for a significant number of fans, especially but not
exclusively those who adored him during his lifetime, news of his passing was
too painful. Life without the legend unimaginable. Little wonder that people clung to any suggestion that their hero was still alive, whether now living on a
remote tropical island or working in the local burger bar!
Elvis died on August 16th 1977, twenty-three years before the millenium. Move
on a further twenty-three years (he was superstitious about numbers) to a
chance online meeting of two keen fans from very different backgrounds. At
home in USA James T. McQueen (Mac) aged 90 and always a huge fan had been
on duty as an electronics technician when the ambulance (badged Unit No 6)
swept in the Memphis Baptist Hospital at alarming speed and a sense of
heightened security. The stretchered patients face was covered up but later s
weeping nurse told him it was Elvis and he had died. His online contact was Scottish musician, vocalist and songwriter and recording
artist Brandon McPhee. Elvis had been gone almost twenty years before
Brandon was born, but even as a young boy his keen musical ear drew him to
the sound of “The King.” Their shared enthusiasm spanning a whole generation led by them to pen this song together. Recorded by Brandon this track is also transatlantic collaboration between studios in Scotland and Nashville. Elvis lives
on!

Wow! ,what a write up. Your friend (McQueen) from Tenn. here. Thank you my friend for all your help on my song Merry Christmas Elvis. I'm 91 now and just got out of the Hospital where they put in a pacemaker trying to make my heart beat a little better. to much Rock-N-Roll I guess. Now i'm having trouble with Low Blood pressure and Dizzy spells. Anyway I'm still here and I listen to our song all the time, I still love it and hope all the Elvis fans will love it too. God bless you and yours, Your friend always in Tenn. James McQueen (Mac)

God Bless You my friend . Your friend McQueen in Tenn.. I love it.and maybe when I'm gone my kids will see it on You Tube and think about their old Dad. God brought us together to make this song for all the Elvis fans and I believe it will be a big hit. I'm so proud of you , you remind me of Elvis so much in many ways. You have a good heart and love everyone. I never dreamed a young man from Scotland would call me on the phone wanting to become my Co-writer on the song. . This had to have happened by the will of God . Don't work to hard and take care of yourself . (Mac)

I want to thank God that I was able to see and hear the song I wrote produced by Brandon McPhee. Brandon was my Co-Writer on the song. I may never make a penny from the song but I've always said ," If God want it to be produced it will be produced. God help me write the song because the words seem to fall out of Heaven and the song was written in 20 minutes. It's not easy to write a song in 20 minutes, I had to come from God. I have spent many , many Years trying to get someone to produce the song with no luck when i got a phone call from Brandon McPhee in Scotland. He like the song and wanted to made a few changes in the words and become my co-Writer. God works things out his way and I thank God for helping me write the Original Version (Merry Christmas Elvis by James McQueen). How else could the words come to me in 20 minutes unless they came from God. I also want to Thank brandon for a job well done. May God always Bless Brandon and his Family. James T. McQueen (Mac)

I always believed if God wanted this song ever produced Nationally or World wide it would happen. Just the other day I received a call from Brandon McPhee that lives is Scotland, we got together as Co-Writers and my dream came true. The song is now played in 17 different countries including the United States and Memphis Tennessee. Thank God I lived long enough to watch the video and listen to it on (You Tube). I'm sure Elvis would have loved the song also, Who knows !, he may be listening. James T. McQueen (Mac)

I love it, I was born just like Elvis without a Brother or sister and I know what it means to be lonely. I will always believe God help me write this song and I believe Elvis will hear Brandon McPhee every time he sings this song. The KJV Bible (John 5/28-29) written in RED tells us that the dead will hear the voice of God and the graves will be opened. I just feel it in my heart that God will let Elvis hear this song written in memory of him. Thank you Brandon McPhee for singing and helping write the song. God bless You. (Mac) in Tennessee.
