Dylan has trouble writing a letter to the parole review board for his father, while Brandon reveals he has feelings for Andrea!#beverlyhills90210 #BeverlyHills90210 | Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/90210
During an interview, Jason was asked if he'd ever play Brandon Walsh again. His words: *Hell no. That sanctimonious prick that he is.* Dylan was better than Brandon. It only seemed like Dylan wasn't with many girls because he was dating Brenda in the beginning. Brandon was always single. Hence, he dated. But his relationships never lasted long. And FTR, Dylan kissed 50 girls in just one episode, including Andrea.
I’m a completely straight guy, but it is undeniable that Jason Priestley was ridiculously good looking around this time. His face had perfect symmetry. This episode is arguably the best he ever looked on the show. He and Jeff Buckley were probably the most handsome male celebrities from the ‘90s.
I'm glad they never made Brandon and Andrea a couple. I thought they were better off as friends. I also found his cockiness in this scene appalling. Loved it when she told him off. Not enough people did. I don't think he was as nice as people thought!
Sorry to say but both Walsh kids were not likeable characters. I wouldnt want to be friends with either of them. Brenda is horrible and Brendan thinks hes gods gift to women. Kelly steve dylan andrea donna are waaay nicer.
Me too! I just replied that exactly to someone else here. She could've done a remake of Funny Girl. And Nuts! And Yentel, and What's Up Doc? and Prince of Tides...
@harjindercoutts6663 When your boyfriend is significantly better looking than you are, it just isn't going to work out. He has way too much temptation thrown at him on a regular basis, and teenage boys, as a rule, crumble in the face of a girl that's an upgrade from who they're with.
@@tagapril42Not sure what you mean. There was a reference to Kelly having had a crush on Dylan way back in the first season before Brenda even got together with him. So I don’t think this was a rewritten thing, it seemed they had at the very least known each other before any of this stuff.
....It was actually WONDERFUL that Andrea had such self-resolve to let Brandon know she CAN move on, and accept her "Friend-Zoned" relationship with him.....(2:27) ...but, this scene showed a rare 'dark' side to Brandon, showing how he can manipulate her....(2:46) ..but, NO DICE... (4:15)
I need to learn from this scene, never accept being second choice or be the ‘rebound girl’ When they are a no show and then they suddenly step up its a red flag 🚩
@@miap I don't think there's anything wrong with accepting a date with someone who previously rejected you. It doesn't always mean you're second choice or a rebound.
@@needles1987 are you sure?? It scares me how this popped up lol because am in this exact situation with a guy named Brandon it's like a sign or something.
@@needles1987 That's a strange sentiment there. Making someone who cares about you wait on you indefinitely like that is a soft form of abuse and demonstrates a lack of empathy to the other person. If you're not ready, you're not ready, and the other person moves on. Partners aren't parents, so no, they are not supposed to wait around for someone they care about to make up their mind. The reality is, it's all about timing. Finding a job is the same thing -- if you're not going to commit, then you don't get the job.
Brandon and Andrea together would have made sense during the first 2 seasons. But they shouldn't be together now because Andrea was friendzoned for a long time. I'm glad the writers didn't put them together because of the long friendzone period Brandon put on Andrea. I had this happen to me in high school and I resented the girls who finally showed interest in me after I showed up at school one morning with my beautiful new girlfriend. The girls were trying to interfere with my relationship by love bombing me and I gladly rejected with a little bit of venom behind it. I won the battle and had a smile on my face. 😊 That beautiful new girlfriend from high school is my wife of 21 years. We are still in love. We are still going strong.
That’s a great story. I was like Andrea but swap genders. I was into this girl for the longest time and she knew it. Whenever we were alone, she hinted that she liked me while not outright stating it. Here’s the thing. She was a year older. She was a freshman in college and I was a senior in high school. Anyway, we’re all hanging out at our collegebar one night & she has one too many. Me being the young idiot doormat that I was, told everyone I was going to drive her home because she was getting tanked. I knew her folks and did want them to think bad of me. We get to my car and she pulls in for a kiss. This was what I wanted more than anything for so long but I wasn’t raised like that. I pulled away and said if we were gonna do this, it wasn’t going to be like this. We’ll talk about it in the morning. Needless to say she apologized and started to push me away from them on. While my ego was satisfied knowing that she could see me that way, there was more to it. She felt strange going out with a younger guy. She also was a nerdy type (her getting drunk was way out of character for her) and she later said that she got drunk to build up the nerve to kiss me. I didn’t know what to say. In one aspect it’s flattering and in another it’s sort of insulting. I’ll cut the chase. Life stepped in and we lost touch. She’s not happily married with 3 kids and I am happily married with 2 of my own. We no longer speak but are on friendly terms. We bumped into each other at a clothing store. We caught up & it was like I was back in school. Regardless of time or fate, we’ll always be friends.
I'm a girl and I was Andrea. The first guy I ever liked kept friendzoning me for other girls whom he'd usually break up with after three weeks. Meanwhile, him and I kept having these little moments where you could tell that we both had feelings for each other. I asked him out a couple of times, thinking these moments meant something, and he kept saying no. It was heartbreaking and it really messed me up in terms of my view on romance and seeing the signs. Anyways, the moment he found out I started liking someone else, he'd do everything in his power to get me like him again, including kissing me. It worked, but he still wouldn't be my boyfriend. Needless to say, after he moved schools, I forced myself to move on. We came into contact years later, when we were 20-21 years old. He confessed that he did in fact like me but that he was too scared to be in a relationship with me. I called BS on that. I always felt it was because he was embarrassed of me. And then he finally asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said no, telling him he had every chance to be with me when we were younger, he just chose not to. It was too late for him and I'd moved on. I feel like I disappointed my younger self who would've given anything to be with this boy, but my current self isn't disappointed. I made the right choice. I wanna be with someone who doesn't see me as their last choice or the person they settle for. I'm either their first choice or nothing at all.
@@bellonacanino3422 Yes! This comment right here! You recognized what was happening and didn't settle for being second choice! I hope you are with someone who makes you first choice! Amen and good luck!
@@bfettrules1239 Once you reject any girls physical advance, you are done for life. I found that out the hard way. Thank you for your story and I'm glad you found your forever person! Having children makes your life complete. My wife is 1 year older than me. She was a senior in high school and I was a junior when we met at work. She asked me out on the second date. Obviously she wanted me and beat me to asking for a 2nd date. I was on the rocks with my disrespectful current girlfriend at the time and immediately broke up with her after my wife asked me out for the 2nd date. We went to see Titanic in the Theater for our 2nd date and it was make out city. LOL.
My heart breaks for Andrea and this episode. She had a crush on him for so long and he always made it clear he wanted to be friends then he tells her if she wants more when she's going on a date my self-confidence was so low in high school I'm sure I would have given in when he suggested breaking the date
It’s weird though because she was already older but someone insisted they give her a 40 year old’s haircut and hairstyle that just aged her even more 😂 They could’ve made her look more like a teenager but she ended up looking like a teacher.
Weird how everyone points out how old Andrea looks but no one mentions Dylan looks about 38 here. Brandon and Steve don't look like high schoolers either. Always gotta criticize a woman. It's lame.
Brandon's haircut was trending my barber knows how to do many clients asked so In my mind I felt I was a movie star with that haircut wearing Rayban sunglasses I made for almost a decade lol 😂
Andrea lost her one chance to hook up with him lol. He was only interested because he was jealous of the other guy, but hey, carpe diem lol. He would never be interested in her again after this.
Not convinced Brandon would have stayed with her at all. She wasn’t his type. Look at all the other girls he’s been with and being as goodlooking as he is, he would have been a bit full of himself as well. But that being said, he was my favorite guy character on the show. ❤️ Cared for others, gorgeous, an intellect… Andrea and Brandon had great friend chemistry though!!
I'll admit this was a jerk move by "good boy" Brandon to all of a sudden make this serious play for Andrea after he kept her in the friend zone for two years knowing she really liked him. He didn't even want her working at the Beach Club in the first place because he didn't want to feel bad when he flirted with or dated other girls. He would not have been interested in her even if she dated someone he felt was inferior to him but Jay was a sophomore in college at Northwestern and handsome and was a writer/reporter himself.
I liked Brenda and Andrea best. Both in character and looks. And then, can't remember the character name, but Tiffany Amber. Though, not her character.
I watched 90210...in my early 20s...thinking it was such a great show....now I see these clips and it seems so stupid..lol Thinking the writers could have came up with better skits....why would anyone go to the beach with all the people...noise..and chaos to write an emotional letter about their dad...😂😂🤣😅...maybe if he was off in a secluded area....with no one around...but then his character wouldn't able to interact with the other characters... 😂😂🤣😅 dumb.
Kelly dated just about everyone I don’t hate her but she dated everyone but David and she thought he was to nerdy 😂I did like Kelly and Brandon because she called him out on his bs😂
Yeah back in high school I definitely would have broken the date to be with Brandon but that's also because I struggled in confidence and knowing what I deserved. I am so glad Andrea made this stand and prove to girls that they didn't have to drop everything for a guy that they had a crush on for a long time
Andrea looked so old! I mean a lot of the stars looked too old to play school kids but she was definitely the oldest looking one at of all of them. How old was the actress at the time?
