That sucks. Imagine if no english speaking actor was on set, and we would have gotten a Godzilla movie with a place called the G spot.

Also he's not the only MMA legend in the movie. the other Japanese colonel, who sacrafices himself is Funaki, creator or Pancrase the first MMA organization and also a fighter in the great Pride Fighting Championships.

Going to "The G Spot" to wake up Godzilla conjures unpleasant thoughts of Kaiju prostate stimulation, or is Godzilla female in this? How do you finger something that big?

@@disneyboy3030 TV show was a genuine banger, Zilla Jr. is a monster worthy of carrying the title "Godzilla" unlike his Father who pains me on how easy he can be defeated by a couple of AAMs.

Well, Zilla pretty much deserved it. Only way Toho could make that victory more glorious is if the emailed the clip to Roland Emerich, and sent him several copies of Final Wars just to troll him.

Tristar got flagged by Toho so they got Zilla

Wrong. Why would Toho buy the rights for a monster they already own? What they did was withdraw the rights for Godzilla from Tristar (so that they can't produce more G movies) and put a monster into Final Wars that is called Zilla. But Zilla is technically not the "Godzilla" from 1998.

AND ITS FUCKING GLORIOUS.

And it was hilarious!

Gordon s easily my favourite Godzilla character who isn't a kaiju I'd love other movies to have a gordon character even if they're played by a different actor, I could see him as being godzilla's archrival

What makes Fry so good in this movie is he's the only character not over acting and in a movie so full of scenery chewing it makes him stand out

@@rynobehnke8289 there's multiple words and stuff at times but if i recall some of the common ones are , akuma for a demon or devil , i think just aku was for evil and said right means someone that acts evil. And if I'm not mistaken kaibutsu is a term that means monster.. I'm not to sure what majiju would be but i think that i read somewhere that majin can mean things like a devil too but usually just implies a magic person... Sadly i couldn't come up with something i could confidently say majiju might be

I'd very much enjoy seeing godzilla on a mound of the skulls of other notable kaiju.

At least in this one the Aliens didn't actually know about Godzilla, because he'd been buried in Antarctica for decades.

The boring human drama stuff was one reason Shin Godzilla gave me such mixed feelings. The other reason is I much prefer "good Godzilla what beats up da bad Kaiju" over "bad Godzilla what beats up da hoomins", but that's neither here nor there. Like, I thought Godzilla itself was well-done in that movie, and was actually made terrifying, with lots of disturbing aspects, such as the way he unhinged his jaw for his Atomic Breath, which came out first as fire before concentrating into a tight beam. That shit was nightmare fuel. So, all the Godzilla stuff was good, but the human parts in Shin, my GOD, just bored me to tears. I would have to say, though, I liked the movie, it was pretty good, even if the human parts did suck.

TheSefirosu200x bro they literally reference in the movie the fact that the humans have to have a meeting every time they want to do anything. And I think Shin was an incredible Godzilla too, such a cool concept and the CGI was really well done!

I'd say this more resembles a super sentai movie.

exactly, he's easilly the non-kaiju villain with the most personality. AT first he seems like he'll be a mere flunky, emrely thee dragon to bald dude, and then he unceremoniously shoots his boss in the ehad simply cause he'd rather just conquer through force than through trickery

I'm definitely in the "hate it" camp. Nothing about that movie feels like a Godzilla film, the monsters that make up the roster barely appear and are easily defeated, the music is terrible, the characters have no personality or growth, even most of the action is boring. I'd argue it's the worst film in the entire series. Yes, worse than Godzilla's Revenge. Worse than Godzilla vs Megalon. Worse than Godzilla 1998. Worse than the anime trilogy. There is nothing redeemable about Final Wars.

Me too. It's just all fan service monster battles. The only Godzilla movies I can't find something to love in are the ones with Minya. Or Godzilla Jr. Whatever you want to call the little turd nugget. I hate him so very much.

@@KaijuKing42 it's not great but its campy fun. The only Godzillas I take seriously are the very 1st and the 2 recent American ones. The others are just fun ass movies.

He's from Sierra Vista, Az and it seems the director liked him so much he wrote the part for him. A zonie from southern Az made it into a Godzilla film. Kewl.

Yeah, it was like a cool modern remake of 'Destroy All Monsters', filled with easter eggs to a bunch of other old Toho films.

@NIP Final Wars was the first Godzilla movie I've watched... and it was the reason why Godzilla is now my favourite franchise.

@NIP I showed this movie to a lot of people in my lifetime ranging from 10 years old to over 65. And they all had fun with it.

The only complaint I have is that it should've been 2 movies.

He sounds every bit as over the top in Japanese too! The English voice actor really matched his Japanese counterpart

Yes he did. And he understood everyone else speaking in Japanese when they spoke to him. Also for some reason in the Japanese dub I have Kazama's one liners used the English dub audio, but spoke in Japanese for the rest of his dialogue.

Starting around 1989, the international English dubs stopped worrying about actually translating the Japanese dialogue and just making up their own dialogue. Chances are you pick a line from the Heisei or Millennium movies and it's not anything close to what's being said by the Japanese actor.

he....IS an alien. he's the big bad of the movie. I am assuming you're referring to X of course. yes its pretty weird that the scene that really introduces our main villain has him lounging back in an interview, but considering the weird shit in Versus, plus it disguises the fact that he's the actual villain... if you're referring to another character than I dunno.

@@sarafontanini7051 The main villain and the guy on the show calling himself "X" are two different characters played by two different actors. The main (unnamed) Xilien is played by Kazuki Kitamura (no relation). "X" is played by Kenji Kohashi.
