Jesus prayed to someone while in the Garden of Gethsemane. If he was literally God ______then God prayed to himself!! My questions now are: What is a figurative God? and how is Jesus figuratively God? How does it stop anyone else from being figuratively God?

I never assumed Jesus to be a figurative god! Jesus ' and God's oneness,their union is not physical ___as if they are the same person in a literal sense. I gave one example previously by quoting Genesis 2:24 , I believe. "The two shall be one flesh." A man marrying a woman does not make them the same person! Taken literally rather than figuratively, would mean that they become one being. So the union between God and Jesus should be taken the same way! Exegesis ____remember? That's exactly what I'm employing now. Connectively, Jesus told Mary that he was going to ascend to "HIS GOD" at John 20:17. So if he is literally God, then God would have been saying that he will ascend to himself! Scripture interpreting scripture. Another example of scriptural oneness is this: John 17:21 : " that they also may be ONE in us" . Taken literally, this means that the followers of Jesus became God! Ridiculous, I know. Thus there remains only one logical and scriptural way to interpret the passage. And that is _____those who follow our saviour become one with them, not one being,or one person. It’s a nonsensical semantics based argument that’s utterly pointless. Their argument is akin to some famous person in history whose biography states they were pescatarian and when you say something like ‘According to *Famous person’s* biography, he or she didn’t eat beef,’ some contentious type tries to rebut your point with some convoluted argument about how that famous person’s biography never specifically mentions how that person didn’t eat beef. I’ve found that “The Bible never used the word ‘Trinity’” arguments annoying as well.

I just read that Scripture yesterday. There’s so much evidence in the Word that declares Jesus is God that you’d have to be willfully obtuse, and the type to idolize your own intellect, in order to overly complicate such an easy concept; a concept the Lord has made so simple that even a kid can grasp it.

There's a man from the 1980s named Walter Martin, he made a series you can find on here called, "Kingdom of the occults" he helps us understand what these religion teach that deny Christ, goes through Jehovah's witness, mormons, spiritualists and mediums. One thing he mentioned was we are not sayingm 1+1+1=1, it's 1x1x1=1.

The worst thing about Unitarianism is that they cannot justify the atonement from their belief system since Jesus needed to be the perfect and eternal sacrifice to atone for sins in order to appease the wrath of the Father. So technically speaking, unitarians would be denying or even rejecting the Gospel since Jesus is just a man that can't take upon the sins of the world.

I saw a argument where they use the verse that says "Jesus was made perfect" Hebrews 2:10 to say Jesus wasn't perfect therefore He cannot be God. Literally one of the dummest things I've heard. They take being made perfect can only mean one thing. Christ was morally perfect! We know this from scripture. So clearly theirs a different perfection being talked of lol. But nope Jesus ain't God. Unitarians run into real problems when you discover that words in scripture is used in more than one way and can have more than one meaning. @@nycgalant
