For the very start V8 Aston is nice, safe and planted but I would recomend trying sth else, Aston is very dull and uneventfull, maybe Benley for FR and Ferrari for MR, tbh it's best to try them all and just find the one that you like the most and then learn it :D

Depends what you mean optimum, the colder the air the more dense it is so there is more aero downforce and more engine power but that comes with lower track temp as well and that makes the track more slippery and harder to drive on, also different cars and different setups will like some temperatures more than others, it’s better to be prepared to adapt because conditions are never perfect and you need to be able to drive in every temp and on every grip level from green to optimum

For sure most cars should be capable of doing times within a second of this with just aggressive and maybe slight tinkering with pressures and basic stuff just to make sure car works as intended, there is way more in driving just than reference points 😅
