This song was slept on it should've been a #1 hit. Bruno Mars does these retro songs and gets hella airplay why couldn't #BegginNPleadin get that same recognition? They want R&b music but they don't want black artists singing it. This has to be said
Ahmad Tillery They're looking for us to do it. Look how they Rock, County, and Pop. It's been so white washed most don't even know we started those genres.
Ahmad Tillery it takes a lot for a song to hit #1 on the charts especially on the hot 100 which collection of popular songs of a variety of music genres. This song was #1 on the hot blues digital songs chart for 12 weeks
Brandy as a vocalist has become an expert on background vocals and layering. She pays attention to detail. Easily has done her homework on the importance of placement within the mask. Vocal riffs and runs in the lower and mid register are remarkable. Her tone is also her most noticeable and beautiful part of her voice. The multiple textures and all over the last 2 decades is amazing.
Prince Amir Brandy and Mariah Carey are the only artists who have mastered the art of background vocals and layering, that's why I love them. Listening to the intricate harmonies and background vocals they put in each of their tracks are truly inspiring. Even if you listen to their songs multiple times, you'll find a little surprise every now and then, like a little melisma in the background that you didn't hear the first, second, or third time. "Acapella (Something's Missing)" is one of Ms. Norwood's masterpiece, and my favorite song of hers.
Danisha me and "lmao idc" were responding to Belle Caroro. To quote Belle, " Brandy and Mariah Carey are the only artists who have mastered the art of background vocals and layering, that's why I love them." Notice how they said "THE ONLY"
OMG I WAS WAITING FOR HIM TO SAY "COLOR PURPLE, SHUG AVERY" Thats EXACTLY what i got, I think thats what they were going for. She did absolutely kill that performance
i remember this. she was on a hiatus for a decade and went through a tough time. when she came back, the game had changed with new divas like fantasia, jhud, etc. 90's female singers were the shit! her, monica, mary, faith, toni, lauryn, kelly, deborah, keke, beyonce, jill, and many more! this brandy performance was reminding everyone that shes a beast!
She sounds like Fantasia on this song. They have a similar tone anyway, but Fantasia sounds more gospel influenced...Brandy sounds stronger and more soulful on this song. She always had a nice voice...her voice is now more seasoned with age and experience.
@@sharpaycutie2 it would have been good for Fantasia too and she definitely would have churched it out but I doubt that her runs would be as clean as Brandy's. Fantasia would have growled like she like and her cousin K-ci like to do.
@NATsoHIGH ! not vocally though. Her voice is better now than then in my opinion. Without You alone kills that Full Moon album and gives the damn eulogy
B.E.T took it down for some reason...I have been searching for it for a year now lol it has to do with some legal issues prob. If you ever find it please let a bro know #4ever
I'm glad to see you pleasantly surprised because I think you weren't expecting her to sound good or something. Almost like I'll review it but I'm not expecting much. I'm glad you enjoyed it because Brandy is no joke!
I HAVE TO RETRACK WHAT I FELT ABOUT BRANDY..after hearing this and seeing her live in this particular song....she is GREAT. She should stick to singing this kind of music....
Brandon Matteson damn you're fast but I'm finna troll his channel wi h that request. cuz that song has some of her best vocals. She even did head voice 😳
Hey here's a thought, you should also react to her song Without You live on Bet and need to react to her album TwoEleven. You will be in for a huge treat.
not even trying to be funny, but do you wear glasses? you're usually REAAAALLLLLLY close to that big screen. just curious. I'm #4EyeGang all day, so I hope I didn't offend lol
