this was a period where B was on broadway as Roxie. she was in intense dance lessons, rehearsals, intense vocal and physical training -workouts. changed her diet, etc. she had reached a different peak in every area of her life! i remember her saying she felt her most confident, physically strongest… healthy & fearless she’d ever been. this remains one my fave performances from her bc that time in her life really shines through here. this was a Brandy we never witnessed before. BODDDDIED IT. 🔥

This performance, the Without You BET Honors performance and her televised Brokenhearted performance are my top 3 favorite Televised live performances from Brandy. Her Christmas album is everything and praying she's inspired to give us a new R&B album next year to commemorate 30 years in the game!

The crazy thing is how much stage presence comes through in a voice, if you want to sound tired and fed up or moody put your body in those positions, and its almost like it comes out that way.
