Brassic Classic: VW T4. This week we are working our way through the fuel system. Hopefully then we will have a running T4.
In this video series I buy a T4 to try to find out if it is possible to become part of the Vw world cheaply and if so how cheaply ??
The T4 cost £350. In this video (video 3) . We are now up to around £475 including buying the van. The T4 has been sat for the past 4 years and has no MOT. I'm going to see how much it's costs to get it on the road and answer the question above.
In the next episode we will attempt to work out why we have so much smoke.This is likely to be either an injector issue or a sticking valve. We will also be stripping the fuel pump down and rebuilding it.
