I literally only watched this movie cause I was bored in quarantine. Also are we gonna excuse the fact that Yasmine’s voice while singing sounds nothing like her? It’s like she aged 10 years when she sings 😳

I never understood the “dog in a purse” thing. Even if that was allowed (which I am fairly sure it’s not), they just use the dog as decoration. If I was carrying a dog with me, I would just pet it all day (and I think any real person would).

Teen movies need to stop making the new Regina George. It's not going to happen. Also, the stunt double who did Sasha's dancing is white, or at least five shades lighter than her. It's so distracting.

Meredith is basically the Walmart version of Sharpay

Also, as a Latina, their way of trying to show that yazmin is Hispanic by having her dance around singing “la cucaracha” was *incredibly* cringey and unnecessary Edit: while there’s plenty of hispanics who are/look white, my issue is just that they should’ve casted a girl who looked more like the doll and they shouldn’t have portrayed her through such an exaggerated caricature in order to establish to the audience that she’s hispanic. it’s just bad writing and directing. the audience isn’t stupid, they didn’t need to put a whole ass mariachi band in her kitchen in order to show that she’s hispanic ALSO FYI HISPANIC=SPANISH SPEAKING (includes people from Spain but doesn’t include Brazil) LATINO=LATIN AMERICAN (includes Brazil but doesn’t include Spain)

I surprisingly love this movie. I really liked it when I was younger and I recently just rewatched it and I still do. When I rewatched it though, I have to admit that they kind of exaggerated Yasmin’s heritage and also it’s very unrealistic bc high school isn’t like that. Overall it was a good movie tho :)

the thing I hate MOST about this movie is the fact they messed Chloe's personality all up. Yes, she was a blonde ditz but she was also a drama queen. (Sasha calling her Drama Mama in a lot of movies) Chloe scenes show her flipping out or overthinking things. She's a very bubbly and happy character who loves her friends to the end. Not some klutz who just exists for the sake of existing. She's playful, she's flirty, she's athletic, she's a bit of a klutz, she's dramatic but this is what makes Chloe- Chloe. Her friends help her stay grounded and the reason this peeves me so much is because Chloe was a comfort character to me. As a blonde haired blue eyes child, I took to Chloe because she looked like me and to see her painted as some dumb blonde makes my blood boil

The chick who played Cloe (the klutz) likely got her role because her godfather is Jon Voight. That’d probably explain why they were like, “Uh .... she knocked everything over.” They likely had a half decent actress in mind for the character.

I get this movie is trash, but its a good trash. Its easy to like the characters and its great to make fun of, so even though its trash its also great.

This movie feels feels SO disrespectful, apparently because Yasmine is "Latina" means that she has to sing La cucaracha song, it's like a white person singing Yankee Doodle dandy

Another thing is that the cheerleaders and soccer players ware their uniforms to school everyday

The best actor in this movie is that gorgeous dog. GIVE HIM MORE RESPECT, and cuddles.

How dare you? This film was revolutionary. I was going to commit suicide, but this movie saved me. It's the best movie ever made. It made me realize that life is worth living, because I can now live peacefully knowing that I was never a part of the making of this movie.
