let's talk about how they had inset eyes, were fully articulated and had different textiles/great designs! they gave MH a run for their money in terms of visual appeal!

I remeber i showed these to my bestie whos a mh girlie n she was dissapointed to find out the line was not in fact abt kaiju bratz n instead abt witches LMAO

The way I haven’t seen 80% of these dolls in my life, but the Bratzillaz was literally one of my favorite sets! I wasn’t allowed to get them as a kid because I’m a boy with mid-western family, BUT NOW I definitely need to scoop. I’m *guessing* the name Bratzillaz was a play on the reality tv show Bridezillas, where brides would be made out to hysterical and hypercritical about how their weddings should go and finding their perfect dresses and such

I found some bratzillaz in a thrift store the other day and they are so cute! I sew and it's so relaxing to sit back and make clothes for them. My favourite is definatly the jade doll i love the heart eyea

Oh man, those unreleased dolls are so creative and cool! Might not have turned the MH tide, but would have been super neat for adult collectors. I'm also always a fan of inset eyes soooo any line that uses them is gucci to me

i stand firm that bratzillaz has the single most best use of inset eyes on a doll line, period. their faces in particular were so stunning! im begging for MGA to do ANYTHING with that sculpt/style of inset eyes again

I have the 2 Switch A Witch packs! They are so gorgeous. I wasn't into doll collecting at the time so I only vaguely remember hearing the name Bratzilla. But I actually found out about them from Ali Express when I was looking for RH parts. Saw these beautiful "Bratz" with inset eyes and couldn't believe they ever stopped making them???

I love Bratzillaz so much! I’ve been slowly been building my collection up and rerooting the poly hair. They aren’t perfect but the quality isn’t as bad as people say and the designs were getting so good. The amount of separate pieces you get with each doll is amazing considering time period they came out and what MGA was going through.

Ngl. I not only like Bratzilaz more than Bratz, I like them more than Monster High.

I've never been a Bratz fan, but I love Bratzillaz! I have a pair of the Switch-a-Witch dolls in my otherwise Bratz-free collection. I came to fashion dolls from the BJD hobby, so inset eyes usually win me over.

I'm shocked you have Fianna! I only got her a few months back for a pretty decent price, but her wrist is glued into place, and she doesn't have her outfit.

I wasn't a Bratz fan in 2013, but the Zillas were so cool! I remember seeing Meygana on the Toy Box Philosopher blog and loving her! The Jade movie webisode is so nostalgic! :D

I have one lovely lavender haired Bratzilla and she is gorgeous. Those eyes! Unfortunately all she is wearing is her glued on plastic hat. I had always intended to make a dress for her, but I am so lazy. Maybe this is the push I needed.

I could never find Bratzillas for sale in my country in their initial run - but for some reason THIS YEAR all the pets resurfaced in a local chain store Mr Price (think Dollar Tree). It is so weird! I had some of the Switch a Witch dolls shipped to me some years ago because they are so cool looking and unique, but good lord the bratzillas hair is one of the most cursed things I have ever had the displeasure of touching. It's like it's made from spite and boiled tinsel or something

If Bratzillaz didn't exist, I don't know if I ever would have gotten more into Monster High. I remember having Ghoulia and Draculaura dolls, but then I didn't collect more. I then saw Bratzillaz and their inset eyes enchanted me. I then remembered my love for MH and started focusing on collecting MH again (and years later also got Bratzillaz dolls on eBay).

I remember the name, I wasn't collecting thens then. I only had a few dolls put away. I started up again when Rainbow High came out, and I fell in love for three years. Those Bratzillaz were really cute dolls.

My theory is that they were originally going to be monsters, which would make the "zilla" reference make WAY more sense. But then MGA knew it would be too similar to MH so they changed them to witches and didn't bother coming up with a different name

I saw some of the Bratzillaz at an Ollie's Out let back then and was enchanted by the faces and color schemes although I think most of who they had were the love doll lol with some Meygana. After I got home and looked into them more, I was disappointed to find out the hair was so bad. I was super excited to maybe get anyone from that last line, especially Victoria, but I just couldn't justify it at the time because my funds got tight. The new ones were on Ama zon; the ones I saw at Ollie's were from the OG line and maybe some of the beach ones so they were the dolls who hadn't done as well I think. I remember reading the Toy Philosopher reviews; those should still be up if anyone wants a deep dive. She always took a very thorough look at the dolls she had.

I love bratzillaz! I never got them as a child despite having both bratz and monster high dolls (I think it may have been due to their limited run) but when i discovered them a couple years ago i fell in love. Illiana Honesty was my first doll and she's my absolute favorite in my collection. I think she goes well with my Sashabella doll so they're girlfriends in my mind. I've never watched the series so idk how accurate that is lol

i wonder if the birdcages were supposed to reference sirens? like how in the greek myths sirens are bird women not mermaids. since they have song-adjecent names

OMG I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THIS!! I remember seeing the first commercial years ago, and even as a kid it was super apparent to me that Bratz was trying to capitalize on the Monster High boom (even if they weren't actually monsters) 😅. Also the way my eyes got so wide when the 2010 Bratz line was shown cause I had the Jade doll with the pink hat! It was one of my favorites and I just got the biggest wave of nostalgia seeing her again after so long 😊

I’m really hoping to get a couple of these girls secondhand at some point. I love inset eyes, and I’m willing to learn to reroot if need be.

I just recently found my interest im them again and was lucky to find my favourites that are the Witchy Princesses Caroline and Siernna and Core Jade (all second hand and not complete but I restyle my dolls all the time anyways, all under 20) and a new in Box core Cloetta for around 30. I mention the prices because I think I was really lucky with this. So excited for them to arrive. I had them somewhere in my mind for a long time but somehow always skipped them and they always came back😂❤ I just had to.

My poor first edition Meygana. I got her in worse condition than that one and spent hours fixing her polypropylene hair, only for it to poof up in a week. She's definitely getting a reroot, but I can't decide what to do, so you just sits and waits.

I collected a bunch of nude Bratzillaz recently from Mercari and eBay (Yasmina, Meygana, Jade, Sashabella, Midnight Beach Cloetta, and Angelica) and one out of box Illiana and I’ve put them all in Hairmazing clothes and they’re soooooo beautiful. Would love to get a Fianna some day.
