I bought two of the two-tube (i know they aren't tubes but are led strips encased in a rounded opaque cover) versions. One was connected to a wall switch and is very bright and served well for over two years so far. The other was over a tool box and was pull-chain activated. The pull chain failed after a few months and probably fewer than 50 "pulls", I liked it well enough that I bought a third one and I "baby" the pull switch now, using it as gently as possible, and will eventually wire it to a wall switch also. I was never brutal to the switch so I think it is a weak link. The lighting is plentiful and evenly distributed. Worth the price, especially when they put'em on sale for about 10% off.
“A few months” sounds a lot like 90 days which I think makes it returnable. Way too early for a switch to fail, but also encouraging to plug it into a switched outlet.
I know this is about the lights but I'm going to rant about home depot for a minute. That was really a butthole move by home depot cheating you out of 8 hours on the rental when they should have had the lift charged and ready for the customer or given you the 8 hours. Everything I hear about home depot combined with my personal experience has led me to not shopping home depot for anything. I drive right past home depot on my way to Lowes or Menards which are 10 and 12 miles further respectively and it is worth it to me as to not have to deal with home depot and to know that home depot doesn't make a nickel from me.
Came here to see how these lights would work getting tired of not being able to see in my garage and have tried led bulbs in the socket but they burn out quick hoping this will fo the trick
Should be easy but I don't remember if it had holes for flush mounting. I think harbor freight has all their owners manuals online on their website. You might want to check them out
Do you have to have 4 connected to not have to pull the chain on each one? I have three connected and have to pull the chain on each one. They're plugged into a wall
I don't use the chains. I have the electrical outlet wired to a light switch. Still working great to this day. My lights are 15 feet in the air so pulling the chains wouldn't work and would probably wear out sooner than I would like
My only question is this, do they go on and off when you flip the switch? I have two switches I'm currently using old florescent 4 foot bulbs and I'd love to replace them
