Braun Clean and Renew Solution - DIY - Antibacterial 

I will try to refill with only Floïd the aftershave. It's alchoolic and oily enough to clean and lubricate, in my opinion.

I followed instructions and now my clean station blinks red and is not working.

Maybe everclear could be a better alternative. And you can drink it toooooo

I use windscreen concentrated liquid,75% ethanol instead of yours and theres also another chemical that kills bacteria in it,windscreen concentrate is by far the cheapest alternative in my country,also its supposed to be more friendly to paint,plastic,rubber and so on,figure i try it and see how the paint holds up seeing as many complain about this with the original braun liquid. Apart from that i also use glycerol and essence oil for smell. Glycerol is really smart,its supposed to lower friction between metals by even lower than normal petrol based lubricants when diluted in water according to some scientists. Also want to add i have really sensitive skin,and as for the looks of it my skin seems slightly less irritated when using this mix. Theres one downside though,it can leave an easily removable blue stain if left long without use,i just rinse under water and it comes off without rubbing even.I doubled checked the ingredients of my windscreen concentrate and found no harmfull ingredients other than alcohol and some throw up stuff to make people not drink it. Been using it for one month without problems. Also i dilute with distilled water to avoid the minerals from tap making corrosion on blades over time,i make 1litre at a time for about 5usd inc all ingredients which should last about 5 or so refills i think

Throw away the whole cartridge design and spray down with a large-can shaver spray. Its easier, faster and cleaner, plus it doesnt dull the blades as fast as the cartridge design, which recuts and mulches whisker debris leaving the shaver. Duh.
