That was the most real life, informative video I've found on this shaver. I just got mine today since it was $50 bucks off at Costco...I paid $150. If you don't use the cleaning/charging tank, and especially since you're a professional, what do you use to clean the head? Replacement inserts aren't that expensive on Amazon but if there's a better way to do it so I don't have to have that klunky base unit on my counter, I'd be much happier.
I buy Mar-V-Cide. You can buy it by the gallon or half gallon and it is pretty cheap. It takes 2 oz mixed with water to make a gallon. I let the heads soak in that just like I let my other baber tools. Rinse head and let it soak. Find a small bowl and you will see the hairs that come out while soaking. You will save a lot of money if you go that route. I hope this helps. Much Respect
I have had several bronze savers. They are excellent. The same thing happened to my shaver with the button came off. I sent it back to Procter & Gamble and they repaired it. It comes with the two-year warranty.
I had my first one longer than 2 years before the button came off. I don’t use them in the shop anymore because of board rules but I still love them. They are my favorite shaver. Much Respect
I sold mine the first week. Im still pretty irritated at how much I paid for a personal home use face shaver. It took twice as long as my babyliss shaver. I mean it's good. But it's not great imo. Yeah it's soft feeling. Softer than other shavers, but it leaves behind stubble unless you go over a bunch of times. The babyliss uv shavers absolutely dominate every other shaver on the market next to the babyliss fx02. That's my opinion.
I just picked one up at Costco yesterday, but I didn't get the deal you got. I paid $199.00, but regardless, it's still a good deal. I was curious what cleaning solution you're using, but I saw you answered that in another comment.
I have a BabylIss foil 2 and it works really well, BUT forget about going more than 2 days growth. It can be done, but you will likely be finishing it off with a razor blade. This one lets you slack off. If you are an everyday or every other shaving guy, not really bothered with irritation, I would go with an Arc 5 over the Babyliss because they are near the same price and best with really short hairs. Arc 5 is more power. Go Braun if you like to shave less often.
